I love wear garter belts and stockings. Unfortunately, the ones that I have found have plastic clips holding up the stockings which easily break. As a result, I'm left to wearing them (usually) at home or perhaps on dates. I would love to wear them work too but wear thigh-highs usually. Anyone know where I can find a good quality garter belt with metal snaps? I DON'T WANT anything like a panty girdle or such. Just a simple garter belt with medal snaps for everyday wear.
Things aren't made the way they use to be, everything is disposable now. However with just a little ingenuity and either a bit of skill or friends with skills, you can have most anything your sexy little heart desires. For example: when I need something leather made or repaired... I make Hubby take it to an Amish leathersmith. They have done some amazing work and never refused a job. They may be quite religious, but they don't seem to have a problem that we may be quite sinful sometimes. So when you find the clips you like on something else, just have them removed and put on the garment you want them on. Seek out a tailor shop or friend with sewing skills and you will be amazed at what you can have.
I live in the UK so terminology is a little different. I am guessing you are looking for what we call a suspender belt with metal clips .
You could look at UK Tights of which obviously is a UK site but ship all over the world . They do a very nice black 6 strap belt with metal clips . I am thinking about getting one of these for my OH as it would go very well with some of her retro outfits.
You can buy a pack of 50 plastic clips on Alibaba for almost nothing.
You can easily purchase metal garterbelt clips.
But for them to break off, you must not be purchasing the correct size--garterbelt or thigh highs.
I bought metal ones from ebay. I make my own garter belts. They seem to work great.
