I love anal sex, both giving and receiving. I also believe both partners should be properly prepared for it the first time.

My experience is that u need to take it slow, be completely relaxed and use lots of lube.

Its a form of love making that not everyone is comfortable with so tread slowly. Find a partner who is into it as well and let him get u in the mood, maybe do vaginal sex first to get you physically revved up.

If it doesnt happen as expected the first time, be patient, keep trying. Sex may hurt the first time u do it hey, but dont give in too soon.

Make sure you go before the act, and clean up real nice. No one likes a mess ( some kinky people do ;) )

Enjoy, and give us some feedback!

let me second the "take it slow and easy". I love giving and receiving and have always followed that. Even though I was experienced, in a MMF encounter, the other M was not and literally shoved in fast and hard. Even tough I was well lubed it felt like I was being ripped apart. So, make sure your partner knows that slow and easy is a requirement!

anal sex is a great pleasure both giving and receiving, although I prefer giving. There is however a certain amount of trust and skill to it that does make it so special IMO. I think it is also wrong to say you always gotta go slow what's more important is pay attention to your parter's body language. He/she likes it you go on if not you can usually tell and go slower again. If you talk and communicate during the act even better and after a couple of times it will be second nature to you. I recently fucked a crossdresser who had no problem at all we didn't need any lube and it was like fucking pussy

Anal is like marmite for a lot of people, I enjoy it but my best friend squeals at the thought. Some people are scared that it might hurt- if relaxed with lube and patience it doesn't need to be painful. I've felt pain during anal because my muscle wasn't fully relaxed but also have absolutely loved it and bounced on my partners' cock the first time!

Definitely talk about it before, set any boundaries, clean up and then enjoy- lube is optional but makes it easier until you're experienced. Using toys first will also help give an idea of it, fingering and rimming are anal foreplay along with the rest.

Might as well try, you might like it!

anal sex is fun but anus has to be lubed for smooth movement

I havent tried anal sex yet, what are your experiences of it for those that have tried it?

I have given and received. While my past partners were willing it wasn't been their thing. That made it not enjoyable for me. I think it would be very different with an enthusiastic partner.

Still exploring but I enjoy receiving when I'm in the mood. I'm always very calm and relaxed both physically and mentally afterwards. I've only had one partner that would use a strap-on on me but enjoyed it when she did. I think the general advice to start out slow and use lots of lube when starting out is sound. You can adjust both based on your experience and preference.

Well, I would highly recommend an enema before.

I've seen the recommendation 1+ hour after the last bowel movement and would agree. An enema helps if you want to be extra careful.

Trust, communication and lube are musts. Some partners can rely solely on body language. Some need and/or want verbal. Speed can vary by person, experience and preparation.

Sounds like you haven't yet "taken the plunge", Beth. When you do, get some Astroglide, it's what I've used for several years now, moved on from KY.

All the advice so far seems sensible to me, but you can help yourself, give yourself some idea of what it might be like, and when you do, it'll make it easier. Just get a slim dildo and lube and play. Maybe in time, but a butt plug and use it first at home only, then maybe progress to using it all day. By then you'll have "educated" your anal sphincter to accept he presence of a long round foreigh object, so taking a cock, though different, should be a lot more fun from the start.

Enjoy!!

Oh, if I can help further, just ask....hehe

Water based lubes are always a good choice. There are some that are thicker if that's your preference.

I've used Elbow Grease cream but you have to be very careful with it since it is mineral oil based and can cause problems with latex condoms, rubber, etc.

my bf wants to have a 3-some, with double penetration, so we tried anal this morning for the first time, and I could not go thru with it. Hurt so bad, once he got the tip of his c..ck inside me, I told him to stop, hurt so bad. But now people are telling me we should have used lube, so I don't know maybe I will try again, but not any time soon, I am pretty sore now, and we did not even go all the way.

Use lube & not only that depending on how big he is start with something smaller (fingers & small toys) to loosen you up before he dives right in.

Foreplay is important in anal sex to, especially if you're an anal virgin.

NO LUBE! Are you crazy? For the first time use too much not too little!
Also it will be better if you're on top, that way you set the pace. You have to be really relaxed to get the full enjoyment. Good luck.

If you are really turned on by the idea of anal sex then don't give up on it right away. I suggest buying an anal probe and a life sized dildo. Start with the probe, they are smaller and very smooth. Get used to that first. Use it for a couple of days. Or until you can insert it without much pain. Then move on to the life sized dildo. Do the same thing. with it. You may eventually want to try something a little larger. This will make the real thing very enjoyable. You must use the probe and dildo regularly until you get used to it. And don't give up :-). Another thing that would be a must, is get used to using a enema before having sex. Clean is better for most people.

Anal is not fun for me - I have tried twice and it was so painful I had to get him out of there. Yes we tried as much lube as was possible to get on both of us.
A finger in a bit during foreplay or masturbation is ok but no more.
