new to the site as a member, been reading sex stories for many many years and decided to go into writing in January of 2021. Being locked down alone is not easy, so I'm using that time to try new things, including writing. And... I have written something to say the least.
I love the Sci-Fi genre, so I decided to go there as my first subject. I started writing, not knowing if something would come out, not even thinking something interesting would be put on the electronic paper. I made a rudimentary plan of the story I wanted to write something in five or six chapter, explore few things, trying to see if it would work... I finished with thirty two chapters and 207k words "book", in a month. I'm flabbergasted that I wrote that much, I'm still not sure if what I've made is any good, but I think it's okay, haven't showed it to anyone yet. Anyway, I've decided to post it here, one chapter at a time. The first chapter is in review, hoping the story moderators are not banging too much their heads at my story. I actually just received an email about it, as I was writing this, will see how I do.
Without going into too much detail, my first story is about a young man fulfilling his dream of going to space. He has been hired to serve on the ship PSS Lady of the Stars as their computer specialist. Not only he will realize his dream, he will find more than he ever dreamed of.
Anyway, a little bit about me, man, beginning of my thirties, single as you could infer. As also said, I'm a huge fan of Sci-Fi, I've read most of the classics (Asimov, Clark, Card, Dick...) as well as the newest authors (Cline, Zieja, Wells, Scalzi, Chambers). One important thing, English is not my primary language, French is. So, I'm still lacking writing skills in English and most of all, vocabulary. Please bare with me as I learn writing in general and writing in English.
Anyway, that's pretty much it. Happy to be here, I like that there are resources to help us write. Once the first chapter is out, if any have any constructive comments, happy to hear them.
Thx
