why upgrade

Why am I being asked to upgrade to Gold in order to comment on a story ? I thought silver membership allowed that . It always has done in the past anyway. Yet another problem for me since the upgrade.

Hello. Thats a known bug and we hope a fix will be applied soon to resolve it. In the meantime, as a workaround, please refresh the page and then it should work.

This happening to me again. I am trying to comment on some photos a friend has sent but am told I don't have permission to do this, and need to upgrade to Gold. I am currently Silver and have always been able to post comments, last time only yesterday. Also I wanted to start a new topic to report this but it wouldn't let me do that either. So I hope you will pick up on this and be able to apply a solution.

I had that issue back when I first started this account and hadn't upgraded yet. Usually logging out and back in fixed it but it is a bloody nuisance. I'm a gold now so haven't seen it in a while.
