Why did the 'continued' and/or 'next story' and/or more by this author go away?

I used to love reading a story and knowing there was another chapter(s) to read - and could simply tap the button to go there!

Now, with a very rare exception ("The Robinson Chronicles" are an AWESOME example) you have to scroll to the writers name, go to their profile, scroll through their (possibly MANY) stories to find a 'like title' or other possibly connection, then go to that story - and hope that it's the right one.

This used to be so friendly and easy to do and use. And now it's not there any more.

Hiya. This has been replaced with series linking which makes it much easier to go between all chapters of stories. The old links at the top and bottoms of stories don't exist here any more since the site was completely recoded though, so unless an author has added the new links as a series award you would need to go to their profile, or use the story search feature.

Thanks.

I will have another look at series linking because I have got into the habit of calling any follow-on stories of mine Part 2, Part 3 etc because I did not understand the 'new' series linking but found that the 'old' series linking worked just fine. This is not a criticism (although it probably looks like one) but a statement of fact as I see it.

I also miss that feature, I found a lot of good stories because of it. Frankly I hate the new interface.

As explained by Jen, related stories are now linked by a "Series" box at the top. See for example my last story or the new story on the front page (Caught Being Naughty).
