I'm guessing this is a known thing. In case it isn't...
Uploads are currently down — at least for me. Attempts to upload images to my media gallery appear to go through, but the image never shows up. Attempts to add a cover to an already approved story results in a "down for maintenance" error page when the upload of the image begins.

It's just started doing the same for me and I popped in here to see if anyone else was experiencing the same 😞
Might be out of disk space or something. I'll alert the dev team. Thanks for the report.

It has been down for me since mid morning, Southern Cali time. I figured SimplyJohn was uploading another of his Carnal Biscuit videos and overloading the servers.
Up and working for me again. Added the uncensored cover for the submission that will go into the queue tonight to my gallery, and attached the censored cover to an existing story that didn't have one. Which just got approved as I was typing this. LOL

Tested and all now seems well. Furthermore, it had nothing to do with my biscuits.
Is there a glitch the means you can't upload an image to a group using the upload function?
Every time I try it, I get a down for maintenance message but I can upload an image to my gallery and then post it to the group..
If you can't upload directly to groups, can that option be disabled? it is very confusing.

A particular group or? I just posted an image in SI from my media centre and then via upload no problem.

Again I just posted an uploaded image in that group. Have you tried the usual clear down of the device/browser cache, cookies etc. rebooting and trying again?
Works okay for me too, straight from my phone pictures.
