Subcategories under a main on media...

Hello

I was just wondering if there was a way to create a sub category (drop down) under a main in regards to media on a persons profile page? I believe it would make things much nicer and 'cleaner'.

Yes... so say I have one for BDSM and under that I could have a drop down for collars, cuffs and the like. I hope that make sense..

I don't think there is a way to do that. I've been here a while and have never seen "sub-albums." Maybe ask a mod. If the answer is no, maybe suggest it as an enhancement.

To be honest I do not have a definitive answer for you. However, I have never seen previously an enquiry or request for such. Lots of members have multiple albums with the same theme but break them down in to more specific content. So for example BDSM - General, BDSM - Collars, BDSM - Cuffs etc.

I've seen those also. But if another member grants you viewing of a private album and you've got "many" to look in that could take a lot of effort and time. I think the drop down for "sub albums" is a great idea. Not that I'd use it as I don't have that many media files saved on Lush.

I just think would be nice not to have pages and pages of albums, when a header would be good with associated sub categories. It would make profile pages cleaner.. less cluttered. Your mentioning the private folders make sense as.well.

The sub-levels don't have to go very deep. Maybe just one or two levels. The more levels you create the more complex it is to find things but I'm sure it also makes the programming more difficult.

True.. depending on how much of the media could go under the main category. The already have drop downs for other things, so the programming is in place, they just need to tell it where to place it.

I guess it's now in the hands of the admins and programmers. We'll just have to wait and see if they can and will do this.

Yes... I would assume. I'm honestly not holding my breath. I got the impression bit was kind of a big ask.

Soooo you would like drop downs for media too?... ~chuckles..~ It just makes sense to me. There's absolutely NO reason to have soooo many albums cluttering up a profile page.. not when you can have a Header and the sub albums in the drop down..

to be honest, there are a lot of other fixes and changes that rank far above this one so yeah, if it happens, it's not going to be soon. sorry about that, but it's not really a hot issue at present.
