Pictures are not appearing in my gallery

I'm not sure if there is some sort of limit to how many pictures or videos can be uploaded. I created a folder for the Pregnancy and Breeding group I created on this site so I can have the pictures linked directly from the folder, instead of linking to other sites.

I can select the stills and GIFs, and they upload just fine showing the green checkmark to indicate success. But days, even weeks later, the pictures still don't show up in any of my media galleries, let alone the one I selected prior to uploading.

Do you mean you media albums or the public gallery?

I have found the time delay between uploading an image and having it appear in its media folder can vary considerably, from a single page refresh to more than a day. I have had instances where an image received a Like from the Gallery, before I could see it in my album. Since I would rather not have my images displayed in the Gallery at all, I'm forced to wait for the album to load before removing them.

I had assumed it was the load on the server, but sometimes a glance at the Gallery shows nothing new posted for hours, but then navigating the Gallery feed is hit or miss at best, so its hard to tell what is going on.

Certain Images won't show up on folders as they are too big.

After getting the check mark, scroll down to the folder you uploaded image to, if you see the pic/.gif at the bottom(as a preview) then that means it did process and you'll shortly see it on said folder.

It hasn't processed even though I keep refreshing gallery page and it has been stuck on the same images for a little over 5mins now.

Edit: two other users pics have processed.

Remember, many users upload a lot of pics at once and will slow down the upload process.

Edit #2: Dracula .gif was uploaded at 12:26PM and it's now 12:50PM and still hasn't showed up on public gallery. Idk.

Ta-da. Image processed and its now on public gallery and in my public media folder.

Yeah, when I would upload pics and gifs to my Pregnancy and Breeding media folder on my profile, it would take some pictures only a few minutes to show up in the gallery view of the folder, some other pics/gifs would take longer (10-30 mins usually). However, when I started getting up near 150-200 images in the folder, it seemed like I was hitting a hard limit where the images would upload, but would never show up, even for days or weeks.

From chat with other users today on this topic, some were suggesting images have to be approved, so maybe mods were busy with other site matters and just weren't checking media waiting approval?

How about a test. Upload two obscure images to that album such that they are very easily identifiable... brick walls or something like that. Make a note of the time the upload completes and you close the media upload function down. Monitor thereafter for the appearance of the two images in the album and record the time that occurs. If you PM me when you have completed the upload I will do the same.

Alternatively I can do all of the above for you.

Thanks for the PM and I have replied. As I said I dont find 19 minutes, between the upload and appearance in the relevant album, unreasonable. Media here is very popular and the overall volumes are very high. That with a busy site, possibly other functions in terms of processing given a higher priority etc. all contributing factors.

I uploaded five images to an open album yesterday. They took over an hour to appear and I could not find them in the Gallery at all. Today, I uploaded again and it's now going on six hours waiting.

The morning batch just appeared in my Media -- 8 hours, 4 minutes from upload. I can't see them in the Gallery, but someone has liked several, so they must be there somewhere. At least now I can remove them.

I will ask someone to look at that. If you have not removed them yet please do not since that may negate an investigation.

At least yours appeared. I uploaded a couple of colour GIF files which took longer to load but have still not appeared in any Gallery folder after several days. I have tried loading into another folder with the same result. B& W pics don't seem to have the same issue. No idea if it is a file size problem

I have reported your issue aswell. I believe if the file is too big the upload fails and you get a message stating just that but I may be wrong.

I am sorry but we have drawn a blank on this. Sometimes there is a backlog to process but it shouldnt result in that sort of timescale.

Thank you. I didn't expect an easy fix when I can see that the lush gallery currently has problems.

Sometimes the error message "upload fails" appears after you have selected a file but before you even click on the upload button, however you then get a delayed green tick when you have done so.

I have also noted there are so many images uploaded to the lush gallery by a user and the same images appear to be a duplicate upload from the same user shortly after.

After a hiatus, I uploaded six images today. After 4 hours, I am still waiting for them to appear in my Media or the Gallery. Several pages worth have been added to the latter, all dated long after mine were posted. This is so frustrating.

Out of interest of narrowing down a reason, what kind of device and connection are you trying from?

A few weeks ago, I had delay uploading from my Iphone, but my Samsung tablet worked okay via Wifi and was there pretty rapidly.

In another scenario, it took a while to upload whilst I was running other data-eating apps in the background.

It could be due to device or cellular/Wifi signal strength and or speed, rather than Lush systems,

If it is Lush, it could just bad pot luck that you are uploading at the same time as someone whom is uploading pics/gifs/videos in bulk numbers.

I am posting from my desk top with a solid 350 mg cable connection. I had no other apps running.
Of the six images posted yesterday around 3:30 pm (pst), four posted last night at 2:09 am. Two have not posted at all. I tried four more this morning at 6:40 am. It is now 10:27 and nothing has come through.
These are not huge files like some that get posted to the Gallery -- I think they average 400k @ 750x1000 b&w.
They all showed a nearly instant successful upload on my Media page, then disappear into the mist.

I'm having the same issue with my recently-uploaded pictures showing up in my galleries. It's been about 5 hours and they haven't shown up. I did upload one last evening, around 6 PM or so, and it showed up about 12-14 hours later.

Update...it took about 9 hours, but mine just started showing up in my gallery

Same here, uploaded my profile image and some photos in my albums 4 to 5 hours ago and still have not posted. they all meet the image size requirements.

Mine just appeared, too -- a bit shy of 10 hours, but at least they're there and I can remove them from the Gallery
