When, then? Notifications remain one of the most broken aspects of the site for me, which I find very discouraging given how long we have been on the new software. On any other forum system I use, I can click on a notification about a "like" or reaction and expect it to take me to the post it references. Here, I am lucky if it even takes me to a page that exists. A lot of the time, it still takes me to a non-existent page, e.g. page 2001 of a thread with only 2000 pages. And even when it does take me to the right page, it doesn't take me to the actual post that someone "liked" so I am checking all my posts on that page to see which one has more likes than it did before.

Or it takes me to the opening post of the thread rather than the currently active posts at the end. I do find the badge on the bell is behaving better nowadays. Even if it doesn't clear when I have read all notifications, a refresh of the page I am on will clear it OR it will clear next time I clear another notification.

If I was not a longtime member of the site with a stake in it through my stories and Gold membership, I would likely have moved on.

Other priorities have delayed the release so it is now scheduled for Q3/Q4.
