Everytime i visit my profile this page comes up first:

Im assuming its to do with one of the pics posted on my wall, what to i do?
You can still proceed. Just make sure your virus protection is up to date. It might not mean that it has a virus but maybe a warning that the site where the image is stored has had problems in the past...then just delete posts til the message is gone..
Had to delete a couple of posts but i found the one! Sorry to everyone who's post i had to delete

I was getting this message too but only when I accessed someone's profile whilst in a chat room. Haven't had it since.

It depends on from where pictures are hotlinked on a persons profile.

When I search for the culprit I look at what webpage the culprit is coming from and then I delete the picture/s that comes from that place. (Rightclicking the image and pick properties or other similar option depending on the browser I use, to find the url.)

In this case I would have been looking for jigglegifs.com
jigglegifs.com are the reason. I'll ask Gav to put them on our blocked list.

Lots of these free image hosts do dodgy things, I stay away from them totally.
I ran across a humorous Tumblr photo archive site a couple of weeks ago. One of those which was more 'clever' with their displayed .gifs than just sex/porn loaded .gifs. Tis a shame, I liked the content - but it gave my Windows7 machine fits and defeated Microsoft Security Essentials to hijack my desktop and make it hard to navigate any webpages -

Had to perform a system restore to a date four days before my first visit to the Tumblr site. I troubleshot it as a device conflict as those were the symptoms and I'd also installed some new hardware inside my desktop a few days prior as well.

Nah...it was just some virus - which some assclown unleashed upon some other victims unique Tumbler page.

Now I wish I had not deleted the bookmark and sent it to Gav's attention for blockage. I posted a few .gifs from that page to some people's profile walls here. I hope I didn't give anyone some cyber clap.

The dodginess of GIFs has been a known issue for a while - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/advisory/912840 - thankfully, these the security holes have, as far people are aware, been plugged. As always, though, make sure your security software is up to date.

The warning you got was that jigglegifs is a site that has been blacklisted by your security software - that doesn't mean it tried anything malicious just that it's allowed dodgy stuff on it sometime in the past. A site I worked on got on this blacklist when it got hacked once.

Did it come up with a screen telling you that because this was adult content you have to sign in with your tumblr account details? If so, your Tumblr account will also be compromised

Yeah, since 1989 for me. I grew tired of editing the DOS, 95 & 98 registries about 2001 however, so... I use an 800 pound gorilla application now...which addresses those invasive rootkit viruses.

OMK - you address topics for our viewing audience - which do need to be realized. Most of this stuff is just annoying, but every once in a great while - our PCs and smart phones can get hijacked and used nefariously without our knowledge. Surf responsibly, everyone ;-)

No warning screen alert message. I run Firefox 12.0 with the Firebug app loaded to assist with webpage monitoring/diagnostics and troubleshooting. I am also nearly running wide open on what I can see from the evil-doers and regular average users/content providers on this glorious internet creature. FF is not set up to block anything to me except pop-ups and cookies from 300 some odd advertising sites & tracking services.

My router is however, shunning those select top level domains where I suspect most of the sewage is being spewed from and I don't ever see that crap on any of my end user devices. Every once in a great while though (the last time was Spring 2007)...some shitbird manages to slide a dipping curve-ball past my keen eye for a called strike.

I wouldn't have a Tumblr, Facebook or Twitter account (unless ya paid me generously) With booze or buck$!
