When I do some Work on somebody's image, A gif with six images 1.65mb, Crashes the mail and I get "Down for Maintenance" When I attach it to the mail Upon sending all the time.

I then have to upload it to my mis folder, and as of this writing it's been an hour and has not shown up.

When and if it does appear, I then have to attach it to the mail and it sends fine.

For the last few years, I've done R & D work for UI "User interface" for Security Camera Systems and Point of Sale cash register systems. I create most of my own content here, I would rate it a 2 out of 10, just quickies, after all, I'm not getting paid for it. I've always worked with a multitude of Adobe products but mostly illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Years ago, I was an R & D technician. For Codex Corporation, Mansfield Mass. Backbone delivery equipment for what we now call the Internet. Dabbled in web design PHP, MariaDB, and UI scripting.

So I tried with the same file and the results were the same. Without a doubt trying to upload the file is timing out and results in the DFM page. If the file is local, i.e. in your Misc album, it works instantaneously.

Yes you are correct, It will upload instantly, I just tried it now 11:32am 2-22-25 And it showed up in the folder in a matter of seconds

But that wasn't the case last night, Took almost 25 minutes, So upon upload I was watching the gallery and it was dead with submissions, But that doesn't mean there weren't any background processes going on.

Still it's only the gifs, Is an issue for me but not for others.

I uploaded a 5mb test jpeg, It showed up in the folder in about 4 seconds, 30mb About 20 seconds

I can never upload gifs over 2 or 3Mb. I always get the down for maintenance message.

Is there a file size limit? Or does it depend on internet connection speed or which way the wind is blowing?

64MB according to the support FAQ's.

Good to know John, I'll be damned if I could find that in full before.
