Firefox issues with Notifications?

I am in the process of switching browsers for various reasons (mostly Google ending the API that ad-blockers use). I notice that while Notifications are basically fixed in Chrome, they still behave strangely in Firefox.

Basically, if I click a notification in Chrome, it takes me to the post, the notification goes away, and the badge on the bell decrements. The only glitch seems to be that when I click the final notification, the "1" badge doesn't clear until I click the bell again, which is livable.

In Firefox, clicking a notification takes you to the post mentioned but doesn't clear the notification and doesn't decrement the badge. I have to go and manually click "x" to clear the notification. Also, notifications for posts in groups don't seem to work at all in some cases. Still testing that one.

I am also testing Vivaldi right now as another Chrome alternative (it has ad-blocking built in) but haven't tested it on here yet.

Has anyone else noticed discrepancies between browsers in the functioning of the site? I have not tried posting stories or using the cover image generator in FF yet but will get there eventually.

Vivaldi Four Seasons is just wonderful. Spring is my favourite.

But thanks for giving me a chance to test notifications in Vivaldi.😊 They seem to work fine there, so it is definitely just a Firefox issue.

Yes, FireFox desktop behaves like that for me too. My mobile browser (not FireFox) clears the notifications on click through to the post. No idea why FF doesn't.
