A few days ago, in a conference called THRIVE which took pace in Las Vegas for the LGBT community, Celebrity Ellen Page (I bet most of us remember her from the flick "Juno",even if they haven't watched some of her recent work) outed herself as gay. In a emotionally appealing and tearful speech, she told that she was tired of lying by omission, and of course tired of hiding. It made me go back in time and remind of people's reaction when i had outed myself. Only a handful of people have treated me in a right way, so far. Juno was a part of our lives: It kept me and some of my friends realize the dangers when we had guys in our lives, though that was years back. I believe we needed someone like Ellen to make understand society that sometimes their peers pressurize civilization too much into believing what is correct and what is wrong. Doomsday devices are a sane idea, but being gay is a crime! I was surprized no one on Lush here congratulated the community that Ellen represented us to the world in such a magnificent manner. Thank you Ellen ! Hugs from me.
