I don't agree often with him/her, but I'm with Tradnuder this time, in that Caitlyn does not look hotter than her (step) children. She does look quite amazing though for a woman her age, especially for a transgender woman who transitioned at her age. Close to half a century of adult male testosterone levels are normally pretty devastating to a feminine physique.

As mentioned earlier I hear excitement and respect from the transgender community about her public transition and the way she's using her celebrity platform to educate the public about transgender issues.

I agree with this. It seems like many people turned on her a bit last summer, feeling like she was doing the "Kardashian" thing of over-exposure and attention-seeking with her "I Am Cait" show and public appearances, and that it would have been better for her to just go quietly off into the sunset and enjoy life out of the spotlight.

I watched most of her reality series though and it was 95% focused on series Trans issues and her work in the LGBT community and really only 5% on superficial "Kardashian'esque" fluff like hair, makeup and drama. I actually learned a lot myself, and thought it was a really positive way to use her celebrity to raise awareness and understanding.

Things can change quickly: Caitlyn Jenner is facing a backlash from the trans community – after claiming it’s “easier” if you don’t look like “a man in a dress”.

Caitlyn Jenner accused of transphobia
(Title makes no sense in my mind. Why would she be phobic towards trans people?)

It's called "body image issues"... Why people hate what they see in the mirror, or have plastic surgery to look more like a Barbie doll, Kim Kardashian, etc.

I DVRd all the episodes of I Am Cait and watched them. I was so afraid it was going to be a spin-off of the Kardashian's show that I was hesitant to watch at first. However, I do think that the majority of the episodes did bring a necessary light to the real issues that transgender people face. Now, some think Cait is prettier than his step-daughters and others don't. Personally, I think Cait looks happier and has found a level of peace within herself that reflects in her appearance. I don't personally think any of the Kardashian girls are all that pretty.

I know some blame the Kardashian women for why Bruce became Caitlyn. Personally... I think Caitlyn was always there and now she can be the woman she wants to be. It's one thing for a man to just wear a dress, it's another to take the necessary steps to physically change. Caitlyn is in the process of this like many other transgender people are doing. I hope this new awareness will bring forth more understanding.

I guess you have, again, not read the article.

I know there was no article to read, & guess that you again posted something that had nothing to do with what you quoted.

I must admit that the styling of links here in Lush's forum can make them hard to recognize. Let me try to fix that accessibility issue for you by making the link to the article hard to miss. Here you go:

You're welcome.

Is your "Basement" in the US? Here, "You're welcome" usually comes after a "Thank you", which usually comes after the person being thanked has contributed something. In this case, you only did so after re-posting something you had already contributed, which was in actuality not something you had posted originally.

LOL, nice contradiction in that one sentence.
Anyway, I only changed the styling of the link, for you, so you can't miss it this time. Content is still the same.

He/she does look good for His/her age. It took a great deal of courage to make the transition. Unfortunately, I don't agree with the title "Women of the year". There are women that have always been women and have done incredible things with their lives that have made a far greater impact on the lives of others.

No contradiction from me, & only original writing from you, which is a first.
