Protonmail mail is basically email for the security conscious. If you're not too fussed about the specifics, then is probably the way to go. It's certainly better than , , etc.
If you like knowing your emails are stored in a country that takes privacy seriously (Switzerland) and that everything on their servers is encrypted to prevent -style hacks and data breaches, then they are awesome.
They offer free accounts as well as paid options and now have mobile apps for Android and iOS.
They get my thumbs up.

I've never used ! Mail for regular use, just burner accounts. My regular are and my old account. Proton looks interesting. I think I signed up last time Liz (or someone) recommended it and then didn't really use it. Must revisit it.
