Internet Explorer should still be there. It's the original Edge that is being replaced, not IE, or so all my IT sources said. Shitty move by MS if that's indeed what they have done.
What version of Windows are you using? If 10, can you check in Start - Windows Accessories to see if Internet Explorer is still there? It should be.
To be honest, though, you need to get off of Internet Explorer soon. It is no longer supported save for legacy sites that require it and is therefore highly insecure. The new Edge (which is what I exclusively use now) is based on Chromium, the same rendering engine as Google Chrome, so is as fast and secure as Chrome. I'm loving it and we standardized on it at work almost as soon as the final release hit. If not Edge, then Firefox or Chrome (or at least a browser based on a modern engine, unlike IE).
I get a notice to activate windows ,when I tried I got an error message saying something was blocking it.
I had to put up with a new one and use the version. I also advise, after all, the edge is not so bad.
