Lush Facebook Users! Have you been locked out?

Lush members who use Facebook, and use their Lush pen or screen name as their account name on Facebook, have you had any problems lately?

Two people I know have recently been locked out of their accounts, although I don't know why, and I nearly was. I got told that my name didn't appear to be real, and I had to either confirm and prove with documentation, or put my real name.

Had I not done what they wanted, I would now be locked out of my account. I don't use my real name for obvious reasons, but Facefudge says this against their policy.

Have any of you had this issue, and what did you do about it?

Thank you for any helpful replies.

I keep FB and Lush quite separate (and do use my real name on FB). Lush is a private area of my life that I don't advertise so don't want it tied or tie-able to my FB or other fora that I'm on (even the mountain lion avatar is unique to Lush, I use another animal elsewhere). So, can't really help you here but I know FB (and Google+) are fairly insistent about real names.
Oh dear, Facefudge have really started to shoot their own feet of late.

I use that site a few times per month at best. I can never figure out how most of it works. It seems counter-intuitive to me.

Why wouldn't you just use this site to keep in touch with members? I think once we get our own "Groups" feature working, it would be easier all round.

I mostly began my Lush name account on Facefudge so that a couple of people who had asked me could add me to theirs (it wasn't always so sprawling and crap as it is now!).

I quickly found that I could put naughty statuses that church-going family wouldn't go bonkers over, but mostly, I did it for the publicity angle, so I could use it as another medium of communication. I don't bother with publicity now, but I have friends on that account that I keep separate to real life for various reasons.

I'd be interested in the groups feature, though, just see what it's about. I only belong to a couple of groups on Facefudge, but only because they're little and fun, with people who don't pee me off.

Facebook locked me out of my account because they didn't believe it was me. There reason stated said I was logging in from a device I had never used before. That was ridiculous, it was a computer I have been using for almost a year. I tried a tablet I've been using for 2 years, same Facebook response. Then Facebook didn't use any of my security questions I set up. Instead they sent me pictures from pages of my well over 300 friends. Really? Pictures of people's dogs and cats, scenics, etc. And I was to choose which friend that picture belonged to.

Facebook sent me some pictures from Jaymal's Facebook page of his book covers. They then had 4 names for me to choose from. To my surprise none of the 4 names were Jake Malden or Jaymal. Hmmmm.... can Facebook be that incompetent? Why, yes, they can.

So after trying for several days to log into my own account unsuccessfully, I started a brand new Facebook page. Low and behold a month later I decided to try and log into my old account to see what would happen. Wow! They allowed me to log in. So what did I do? I sent a friend request to myself at my new account. Ha I am now friend with myself. Thank you Facebook for making the hilariously ridiculous possible through your incompetence.

Is anyone suspicious that the US Federal Government may actually be running Facebook? I mean, who else is that incompetent?
Not been a problem for me since my FB name is my real one and I use a nom de plume on LUSH.

two different worlds - here is social interaction with fun and games and lots of "nasty" pics and stories...very little politics here just personality clashes sometimes.

Different social interaction - no sexuality. Just getting to be a lot of politics and abrasive interactions, including my own responding. i have been on LUSH 5-10 times more than FB and been more satisfied [pun intended].

I had the same issue a couple months ago. I tried to sign in and it said that my name wasn't "Real" so I had to prove it was me, or my account was going to be deleted. Since I was using my pen name from Lush, I had no way of proving it was in fact me. They wanted proof which I found to be too personal for a free, silly site like Facebook.

It is happening all over Facebook. They want you to use your real name only. As it is against the rules. Which seems silly to me, because unless someone is hurting someone else, who the heck cares what name you use there. It is JUST Facebook.
