Attention Please! If a cord or cable has a matching plug-in shape, it should work to put electric power into a chargeable device. Why do some cables or cords only work with some devices? That means it is making it difficult to charge something. I have a variety of cables, cords, and devices that work with each other only if it is a compatible cord or cable with a compatible device. I think technology can be better if a cord or cable that matches its plug-in shape can always work to charge a device.
Yes, this was happening to my computer too, I searched for the issue online & found out that the cord is broken so I ordered online from the HyperShop coupons that also gave me a discount on their IT & mobile accessories.

It is a perpetual problem in my world (I am an IT manager) that there is no global standard for AC/DC converters like there is for the USB bricks for charging phones (I still have an old Rim Blackberry brick that works just fine on current devices, just can't fast charge). USB-C might fix that, since some newer laptops and similar devices are able to charge via the USB-C port but we aren't there yet. So, yeah, I hear ya. Just wish the engineers who design this stuff would.

An eternal problem for everyone who has more than 2-3 devices in operation at the same time. One thing to remember about USB-C, thanks.

The power problem, if the cable is not to blame, may be due to the plug.

Now, I have an Amazon Kindle Fire first edition or first generation, model d01400, and it is tremendously stubborn to charge. The Amazon wall plug-in adapter that I have was only able to get it to 14 percent from a dead battery state. From E-Bay, I guess I will have to get the exact charger that goes with that tablet. My second generation Amazon Kindle Fire tablet is much more flexible. It can be charged from just about any cable, cord, and power bank that I have. My guess is that all Amazon tablets that came after the first model are much easier to charge.
