Actually I believe the taser was out of line, as was the knee drop to the guys heart. It seems that the guy's only real crime was being naked, and I'm pretty squarely against criminalizing nudity.

I guess he was actually arrested for resisting arrest. Which comes first resisting or arrest?

Thinking about it, he's probably better off with the charge of resisting arrest, I'm pretty sure that is a misdemeanor, naked in public (indecent exposure, a $25 to $50 ticket offense), is a sex crime and he goes on the sex offender blacklist for life.

Do you suppose that they consider the amount of exposure in those cases? He would end up with a pretty short sentence if they do.

pepper spray doesnt always work and sometimes makes the situation worse and some of those people may be allergic cops try to use pepper spray in a smaller more controlled situation

First he wasn't arrested for resisting arrest, it would have been failure to comply with a lawful order. The charge after that would be resisting arrest, and if any of the crowd had come after the police he would have been charged with inciting a riot as well. Secondly they should have used pepper spray because regardless of hitting this guys face I am sure a burning sensation in this guys genitalia would have gotten him to want to cover it up. Maybe the cops were worried they weren't that good of marksman.
