How to get more story view / votes / comments

This is sort of a, "chicken soup," suggestion in that it may not be of much help, but it can't hurt.

Add a link to your latest Lush story in your signature line. I've done that for my Festive contest entry (see below).

Another thing, basically a variation on the above, is posting your stories on other sites. If someone likes your stories on another site, tell them about Lush. I know effectively it does not really get your stories more views since they have been already viewed on the other site, but it will add to your total votes/comments here. I find it is usually not hard to get people on other sites to join Lush once I tell them about it, because Lush is really much more user friendly and feature packed than most of the other story sites, especially the older ones. There are a few people on Lush because I either liked their stuff or they liked mine on other sites...they are happy to be here once they join...OK, so far 3601

yes thanks to xbob & Alan they brought me over here from another site and I have mainly stayed here because of the quality of the site and user friendly. and I am always telling friends on other sites about lush.

I had my first story, My Daughter Tina, posted in December. So far I've received a score of 48 and has been viewed by 15606 visits, which I want to take this time to thank each and every member/visitor/reader. In addition to sending a PM to all on your friends list, I went to the chat rooms and told everyone there. I don't know if that helped, but it sure doesn't hurt any.

stories tend to be in a world of their own when it comes to views, votes, and comments. However, using chat and PM's to your friends probably helped.

I had to post this because here is another method that I know works...it came to me because another author on this site is writing a story and putting members in the story...
YES...put your friends in your stories...it is a guaranteed way to get them to read them...I know, I have been doing it for some time...

Friends reading your work is a given.

This thread is primarily aimed at getting people from outside of Lush circles to discover your work. The more places you link in to your profile pages, the more likely you are to get people viewing your work icon_smile
