As I've gotten older, the less interested I have become in A-Listers engaging in ego masturbation. Some, grotesquely so. And everyone bitches and moans about the hosts I thought made a snore fest into something actually interesting (I thought Seth McFarlane was awesome btw....but he was too "dirty" and what not for the show).

However, Jennifer Lawrence is fucking funny as shit and I may watch just to see if she wins best supporting actress and if she stumbles her way up the podium again. evil4

Now THAT is the type of person I want to marry.

I guess I may see what Ellen can do as a host.

I never cared much for the Oscars or the movies that they nominate. Some movies that's been nominated in the past i enjoyed but most of the time the movies they pick as winners. Nobody really cares about.

She is just perfect in every possible way. *sigh* This is another big winner for me. Amazing colour, cut and beautifully styled with the back jewelry and the hair.

And Charlize... love this one. I don't think she's ever made a fashion mistake in her entire life. I'm usually a bit 'meh' about black dresses on the red carpet but this one is amazing. I'm still trying to get over that she's with Sean Penn now though.

I absolutely do not mean to say to show the breast more or the size. I understand that probably just a handful of women are wearing a bra, but I just can't help feeling that it's somewhat unflattering the way is carried.

Actually I'm one of the ones that liked Emma Watson's dress. It doesn't translate as well in photos but it looked beautiful on stage. Very young Hollywood and accessible too. I think this is one that will get a lot of knock-offs being made in this style/look too - very easy to wear.

I totally agree with you on Charlize. I though she looked amazing as usual. My vote for best dress last night. And Kate Hudson who I normally do not like looked great too. I also agree on Cate Blanchett, I want to like it but I'm not sure I do.

But I really hated Emma Watson, to me it made her look matronly. Maybe it's the hideous "Potato Sacks" behind her in that pic that makes it look good to you, LOL

As for the men, Leo killed it as usual. He looked so "Old Hollywood". Loved it! But I'm very biased about Leo
