I tried this product over the holidays called "Glitter A Peel" by Nail Pattern Boldness (it's an indie brand - available on Llarowe or Etsy). Basically it's a basecoat that peels off - ideal for glitters. It's not a glue - it looks/acts like a normal clear basecoat and goes on nice and smooth. If you like glitters on occasion but hate the foil method, the idea of using a glue base or scrubbing your nails with acetone, this stuff is awesome. Perfect for a night out and then peel it off in the morning. There's no damage to the nails either and it's also really inexpensive - $8. I don't wear a ton of glitter, but happy to have this on hand for when I do.

Here's a cool nail art tutorial that just came out from Butter London: Freebird Boho Nail Art... and yes, you heard right - they just released a glitter polish called 'Lushington'. silly

This is a really pretty look though that isn't overly fussy. Love the neutrals.

The latest cool nails from Fashion Week (Nicole Miller catwalk).

This is Butter London's Knees Up and Union Jack Black with a matte top coat.

Wow, I love these!
Yet Another Zoya Deal!

I read this today - US offer only, incase anyone is interested (ie. Sprite). silly

If you participated in their “get three polishes free when you pay a $12 s&h fee” promotion, check your Zoya account for a new promo code. This is a one-time use, personalized code that will let you get the multicolored topper Monet free ($10 value) when you order any two polishes from the Awaken or Magical PixieDust collections, plus free standard shipping.

Let’s be real clear on this. One code per account, non-transferable, and you can only use it once. Please don’t place an order, change your mind, cancel it, and hope to use the code again, because you won’t be able to. Once you use it, that’s it. More good news though because the code is good until February 28th, and the new polishes aren’t out yet, so you have plenty of time to decide which colors you want. You can wait to see lots of swatches online from bloggers with various nail lengths and skin tones.

The colours look really pretty.

My nails are like this...I keep them short. I don't like polish on my fingers but always have it on my toes.
This collection by NCLA is so cute - their "Candy Coat" collection. Basically it's a sugar finish so it's textured but much, much finer grain than OPI or Zoya. It dries matte and is meant to be worn that way but it's very sparkly too if you throw a top coat over it. Love the colours.

These are gorgeous.
'What Filter Should I Use' nail wraps by NCLA (looove these).

And... this is a cool way to wear white for the summer with a little metallic crescent showing underneath (use one layer of metallic underneath and then white on top). You could also do this with a neon for a more subtle way to wear a bright colour. Kind of like a reverse french-mani.

Oh! I like the reverse look smile

I've been playing in the dirt a lot lately, so I haven't really done much with the nails. Time to change that up again biggrin

Festive butts! biggrin

These are brilliant!
I love this thread, so amazing products and styles. You ladies are so lucky. I only do mani and sometimes clear base.

designs i love, but could never pull off.

Say. Her. Name.

I have naturally long nails and once a month, I get a manicure and keep hardener on them. I never paint them and love the fresh look of clear polish. I may paint them once or twice a year for special occasions, and even then, it's with a satin pink or neutral color. I have a cuticle oil that I am secretly obsessed with and it really helps keep my unruly nail beds in shape in between manicures.
For those that aren't into nail polish or mostly wear clear top coats, if you ever want a little splurge or to switch things up, Dior's Nail Glow is really nice. It's got a glossy gel feel to it and it goes on mostly clear with just a hint of fresh pink, so the effect is pretty glowy pink nails. They look healthy and natural but with a little something extra - and it's super low maintenance.

Sometimes I'll wear this when I'm too busy for nail polish or if I've suffered a chip and need to remove my mani and quickly get out the door.

I just saw photos and videos and yes, looks amazing so I'll search for it. Thanks for sharing.

I just heard about Nailympics and Nailympia. I am sure those events show amazing stuff and are great to have ideas for new looks.
Spray-On Nailpolish

Is this the dumbest invention ever, or do you think this is going to catch on?

It looks so unnecessarily messy, a waste of product and I'll bet the fumes aren't too pretty either. Some people seem excited about it though.

I might do them like this but don't recall the last time I painted them, TBH.

Ok I had been hesitating to ask this here because I dont think theres much I could do- I purchased a chanel turquoise polish in a hurry 6 months back & then forgot about it.

After I opened the bottle last week (it was not tightly closed & it seemed like some polish had gone?), I found the polish to be usable but a little thick.
So I added drop by drop of polish remover to it, while pausing & resuming to paint my nails. I painted both my fingernails & toenails, two coats each.

The polish didnt end up smooth when it cured.. So I removed it
Next day I added clear polish (chanel only) to the bottle so i will get a soft finish on my nails.

Both these additions were based on word of mouth. I found out the polish has become thin & translucent.

I hadnt encountered problems with polishes until recently.

I dont know what to do/ if the polish in question "could be saved?"

At this point, no.

If it's become thin and translucent, nothing is gonna fully restore its color. You can try gradually adding baking powder to restore thickness and regain some of its opacity, but it probably won't ever go back to its original color.
