Oh my goodness...I may have interpreted the meaning behind "scratches". Although my partner loves being scratched all over and very vigorously, he does NOT like nor want me to draw blood! Yes, he may end up with some red trail marks depending on where I'm scratching but for the most part it's similar to...and I can't believe I'm going to say this...to the way dogs enjoy being scratched.
