This has been discussed by the site chat room moderators and the view is that the witnessed occupancy of the room and frequency of use does not justify the room becoming permanent. Please remember that permanent rooms require moderation and thus there is an overhead to these. It takes just a minute or so, for one member with a minimum bronze level membership, to create a room and of course the room creator plus up to three others in that room can moderate it.
