Indeed. Let us all share a beer and a hug!

A bottle of wine too.

First rational statement I have read here, LOL!

But I want my own beer(s). I'm usually generous and love to share most things, but I do have my limits.

Ginger, I hope you don't mind me saying, but I think you need to relax a wee bit - that's twice in this thread that I've seen you take something personally that wasn't directed at you.

I know it's been a wee bit heated, but this wasn't even about you at all!!

Sadly, it seems it was about the both of her

I've always found that the sexier or prettier my avatar is, the more FR I get. Perhaps if people don't want to be bothered, they can change to an ugly one, or something inanimate. Either that or just live with it. If i've been posting in the forums, I get a lot more FR as well. If you put yourself out there one way or the other, you're going to get more FR.

I have also found that if I am on the Featured Member List (still have no clue how you get there) on the Lush Home Page header, I get inundated with random F/R from people I have never had any contact with.
Thought lush was also a place to make new friends? So if someone is interested in me and they send me a friend request I dunno why it's offensive. That's why there's a button where u can accept or reject.. This is not something to be pissed about...

Darlin' I was born ready!!
My, what a can of worms this has opened up! All over a simple question, which boiled down to; Why send me a friend request when you don't know me? A perfectly legitimate question, - would you walk up to anyone in the street and say "Will you be my friend"? Surely the precursor to any friend request would be a polite note saying you would like to get to know them better, and saying why. And profiles are there to be read. Failure to do so shows a certain disregard for the niceties of life. Or at least, carelessness.

And I'm a bit disappointed in some of you Lushies. Some of you can evidently be nasty and mean, (not all, by a long way, I'm pleased to say), So come on give the girl a break, she is a great contributor to the forums, so more power to your fingers Ginger. (Oops! I've just realised what I've just said! Well anyway......)

Thank you.
Do you know what they are talking about here?

Yes. Friend requests.... looks like you found a couple there. Good job.
To very slightly turn this question ... why would I even want to accept a FR from someone I've never seen before, etc. I received on the 28th of April a request that just said "hi".... nothing more. The "join date" was 4 days prior on the 24th. As of just a couple minutes ago, this person has already amassed 185 "friends" on the profile page. So...what makes someone send out FRs like that? I haven't a freaking clue!! Oh ... I'm ignoring the request for a few more days. That must be someone's full time job! Do the "happy math" and see just how absurd it gets!!

That's the one I spoke of earlier. I got a mail from this person today saying that I could be her friend at any time. I checked out her blog also. What a mess!

Although I must admit sometimes friends can be very fickle. I gave a less than "5" rating to a friend's poem and was immediately dumped and blocked. Live and learn I guess.

I think the people you are talking about just fire off random friend requests and hope they get lucky....I suppose it works for them. I don't think what your avatar looks like makes a difference, some of the nicest people I have met on here don't even have a "sexy" avatar. Likewise, while someones profile can give an idea of the type of person they are, you shouldn't take it as gospel, some of the worst people I have met on here seemed nice at face value. The only way to really find out about a person is to talk to them, and decide if you want them as friends, if not ..delete them.

A 47 year old man with boobs from smoking pot . Sir?, your table is ready .
If I send one and you don't know me it's because I've read your profile and would like to get to know you. Something about you intreged me about you so I'm finding out if you're interested also.
