Why post pics of a naked girl on a girl's wall?

Some of us post pictures on the walls of our friends here on Lush. Some post funny, erotic or porn. It's always puzzled me why a lot of guy friends post a picture of a naked woman on my wall. I'm a straight girl and my profile clearly says that. I don't really want pictures of naked women on my wall. A funny joke pic, an erotic picture of a woman or couple would be nicer, even a picture of a naked guy would be better.

In my opinion, it would be no different to me posting a picture of a naked man on a guy's profile page.

2 Questions....


1. For those of you who do, why do you put a pic of a naked woman on a woman's profile page?

2. Would you like it if a woman put a pic of a naked man on your profile page?

What I find a challenge though is finding pics of hot men for you ladies. Even if I find a stash of them, how do I know what women like best? I'm a guy, I don't know one man form another. Oh sure I can see where some man would be attractive to some women but that is really hard to figure out unless we stick to well known people that women can find pics of anyway themselves. Many of these staches of photos are not just for women but also for gay men. I honestly can only tell which are for gay men primarily from familiar signs that make it clear they pic is of a gay man. But often I don't recognize it and perhaps a woman could. Same with generation, culture, etc. Are there any clues to go by?

I don't see how being an heterosexual man could hinder your ability to differentiate a handsome male from an ugly one. If a man is fit, that's an attractive body. Face wise, if he has masculine features without any 'weird' traits (huge nose, bulgy eyes, etc.) he's probably handsome to some degree. Most of the men that are photographed in photo shoots are models anyway, or at least look a bit decent.

I don't honestly understand the difference you mention between pictures for women and for gays. If the man in the picture is alone, his sexual orientation is going to remain unknown and he'll be attractive to both.

Just Google pictures with the term 'hot naked male' and you'll find... (surprise) pictures of hot naked males. If you search for black/white pictures, generally they're going to be a bit more artistic and professional, and most of the males that will be displayed in those will be handsome models.

I look at someone's profile and wall before posting. To my straight girlfriends I try to post just fun stuff. Pics of hot guys or whatever. I am bisexual so I don't mind pics of hot women but like John C said ask. For people in online relationships I keep it as clean as possible because I didn't come here to harm anyone. Some people like it down and dirty so we do that too. I have asked as well. If I post a few times and they don't post back, I leave them alone. Not everyone is into it. I think it is a matter of realizing that people are individuals with different desires.

Also trinket has point. No one disagrees that the female form is beautiful but you are putting your desires on someone else's wall and not trying to be thoughtful of what they want. Being a friend is about being considerate of the other person.
