I recently ran into this exact situation when I was at an out of town bar the other night. I met a Butch (but very sexy) lesbian who was into me, and I was into her. We checked out girls together, did shots together, and had a great time hanging out. She said "You're fucking hot. I'd like to go home with you if you can keep your mouth shut." Unfortunately didn't happen that night as I had to take off shortly after those comments, but it may in the future...

Can any lesbians give me insight on that?

Well, I'm not a lesbian but I might have some insight if you could clarify the situation for us. It's hard to say as it is, and I'm not sure how it relates to this comment. It kind of seems like the opposite problem to me. Maybe I just misunderstood you.

I can agree with this. My college roommate (female) had a bi guy (but mostly gay) as a FWB. She enjoyed his company and found him to be a non-threatening sexual outlet. The two of us would get frisky from time to time but when there were romantic undertones she backed off. Another friend was a lesbian who was attractive but acted like one of the guys. We played video games with her, and my best friend would flirt with her but in a "I'm just trying to cop a feel" kind of way. One day we went over to her place as she was getting ready. She was standing in her bathroom and I greeted her with a friendly hug and kiss on the cheek. He greeted her with a hearty hug and squeezing her breasts together. She laughed.

It depends on the woman and on the man. Needs some clarification:

A man who knows a lesbian woman will not feel like her husband or boyfriend will become possessive and jealous. That's important on Lush in particular. A lot of female members come and go, and often it's because of a man thinking she was on the site to cheat on him. No man really wants to face an outraged husband or subject his female friend to that kind of outrage, especially at a distance.

Also, because it's unlikely that a man will proposition a lesbian woman, they might strike up a civilized conversation. Again, that depends on the woman. She might be very intelligent and friendly once there is no misunderstanding about the man's motives. She can have opinions based on facts that she can use to counter the man's opinions based on instinct or on what he grew up believing. She and the man might love women for similar reasons and discuss what makes a woman attractive. She might listen to the man and offer counsel, or talk to the man and be counseled. And she might have a heart so sweet that people fall for her because they like her.
