I've read that it's possible to put pressure at the base of the penis and cause the semen to be forced into the bladder instead of being ejaculated, although your body is still trying very hard to do so and the orgasm is still experienced. Supposedly it's harmless and the cum exits the next time the guy pees, but it raises the question; why would anyone do that? Or, in other words, WTF???

No i have Never heard of this happening, and its something i have personally never experienced myself. Maybe the nearest thing would be in *tantric sex* with a "mental" orgasm rather than a physical one. When i edge myself for a long time sometimes mentally i get So close to orgasm that even if i stop, still a little bit of sperm will come out.
Can be very difficult to hold it back at that point so i kinda think that that is as close to orgasm as a guy can get without ejaculating. And that when we let it go, or simply cant cant control it any longer, then we pump sperm in total orgasm. Or as we say in the UK "spunk- up". Of course i can only really speak for myself though, but i'd find it hard to believe that any guy could truthfully claim to have orgasmed without ejaculating too.

It can happen when the well runnith dry. I can assure y'all it is possible. I have seen it with Hubbie often and with others. Especially with members of our swing group which has ten guys in it. Yes, I have experienced this.
It hasn't happened very often and when it has happened it was generally with a second or subsequent orgasm in a series of orgasms.
It has also happened when I have been unwell, though, for the life of me, I can't remember what the ailment was.

Yeah, this can happen, and not just when "the well has run dry". I can only think of a couple of occasions when I've done this. Usually achieved by applying pressure at the base of the penis at the moment of orgasm, to "stem the flow", so to speak.

Well Becky, i would imagine that just as with our sexual preferences and how we react to stimulation and situation, it is very much an Individual things. Then f course there is "squirting" which some women would say is female ejaculation, while others would say its just porn BS. And as with everything, there are Always exceptions to the rules.
