That's true but if they turn purple, which they do if you over edge, they can become too painful to touch. It's similar to after a ball hits you in the nuts, they swell up and even after you cum they'll ache for about a day. It happened to me twice and it's very painful.

No, it doesn't really hurt. It's not like sperm accumulates in your balls until they feel like exploding. Sperm that you don't ejaculate eventually gets broken down in the same way that blood cells get broken down.
