Heels are for dress up, regardless of how much else my lady is wearing. Generally barefoot is fine with me, but then I prefer being barefoot and nude around the house anyway.

Reality check: My wife and I go barefoot around the house close to 100% of the time. She's Chinese so we're doing stirfrying with lots of hot oil. Never burned our feet. Ever. Hands, yes (and that's mostly clumsy me).
