What do you think of Hank Moody (Californication) type of guys?

Sophisticated, cynical, womanizer, playful, talented...a sort of Carlie Sheen with brains.

Would you consider a long term relationship with a guy like him? Do you think only a "hot" actor like David Duchovny could pull it off? (but there aint those types of guys in real life)

In real life yes, I would like a relationship. For me it would be battle of the wills an I am very stubborn. Don't know how long such a relationship like this can last but It would be intense whilst it did.

I'm a dude so I can't answer the original question. But I love that show. Californication may be the best written show on tv. At least the first 2 seasons were.

I just saw season 1 on DVD and loved it. The only problem is that they try to make every single scenario very extreme, so the shock factor vanishes after a while, so they keep pushing it more and more.

I love the way Hank seduced all those birds, I wanna be like him when I get older lol.

And the whole California background is very impressive,looking forward to see the rest of the seasons, let's hope the readhead re-appears again. (she was by far my fav bird)

I will admit that yes, I do tend to be naturally attracted to this type of guy.

How well it would work long-term is another story though. Usually these guys are better for a fling or short-term thing.

Ive never heard of the person or the show but i see the world 'womaniser' and think... no way in hell. The other traits are not so bad but i couldnt trust someone with a reputation like that

Hank Moody is probably one of my favorite TV characters ever. He is just so, well damn cool!

However, there is no way that I would want to be in a relationship with someone like him. He is a self-destructive train wreck. A bit of fun maybe, but nothing more than that.
