Sex While Wearing Masks

Would you ever go for sex with Venetian or some other kind of mask on, with you partner? Or would it be creepy?
I think that would be so hot! I would totally do it. I loved watching Sailor Moon as a kid and remember having sexual fantasies about Tuxedo Mask who wears a black masquerade mask. I think it would be so hot if my man wanted to wear one, sort of like a Zorro mask I guess.
I wish I wasn't confronted with such hostility when I suggest this to ugly chicks with hot bodies.
I've seen movies about this and it seems hot but I have never done.

I think its more fiction that a real thing.

Who am I to say.

To Each is Own.

Yes, I'm sure few people do it in real life. But the idea and visuals in existing films seem quite hot to me. I wonder why that is. What is it in hiding the face of the person having sex that makes it hot? Is it merely the novelty of it? Or is there something more to it. Not asking anyone to necessarily answer this. Just wondering out loud.

Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut comes to mind obviously. There of course, the people in the Chateau didn't really know each other.

Just an example, but there can be many other kinds:

Eyes wide shut is a great example of mask play. I was thinking of that movie also.

Not sure, but the idea does sound very erotic. Also, makes for great erotic fiction.

Shite! You'll beat me to it then.
I totally would and totally have. I love to dress up, use props. etc and masks are great fun.

I remember this movie and these scenes. Might have been the only part of that horrid movie I actually liked. I'm sure some couples have engaged in this for a role-play or other fun sex act. It sounds like fun and I've even gone so far as to write about such acts in a story or two I've written.
sounds like a lot of erotic fun...

Well... it was an intellectual movie disguised as an erotic thriller. You would need to have an understanding of complex emotions, bedroom chess, dream logic and abstraction to understand it. There are clues about what is truly going on throughout the movie that only people with more refined sensibilities would be able to pick up on. It was very much like a piece of art in that way.
You're right on target.

but EWShut went all dark and fucked up.

On the lighter side, Totally cool. Great for taking on an alter-ego and engaging in the unexpected - good unexpected stuff of course.
Not interested. I think it would be more creepy than hot.

That is your opinion. To me, it wasn't a thriller. It was barely erotic. The plot line was mediocre at best. At most it was a soft-core porno with big-named stars. By far the worst was when he starts crying like a damn baby when she confronts him with the mask. If people liked that movie... then that's their business. I did not. It has nothing to do with my intelligence. It has to do with taste. That movie did not appeal to me and I know a few others who felt the same way.

I didn't say it was a thriller... Your reading comprehension really is appalling. I said it was disguised as one. A bait and switch which made sense plotwise (a plot that was not X+Y=Z which probably confused you).

Your "critique" lacks any kind of thought. It's akin to saying something sucks with no reasoning whatsoever which is a trademark of someone who is intellectually inferior. It doesn't matter if your ilk told you they didn't understand what was going on in Eyes Wide Shut, you probably get along with them because you're both of lower mental capacity.
Never have, however at the same time I do not see any reason not to.

Sounds like it could be fun.

I said I didn't like the movie, I said I felt it was neither erotic nor a thriller. It has nothing to do with my intelligence as I said before, but you only read what you wanted to read. I did not give that movie any sort of "critique" as you claim. I explained why I didn't care for it and mentioned one scene and why I thought it was stupid. I voiced my opinion of it, but you felt the need to make it more than that. If you liked it, then that's fine. I don't know why you feel I'm not entitled to my own opinion. You seem to think that you must belittle others to make yourself look intelligent. You liked that movie. FINE. I think everyone understands that. I didn't. It did not appeal to me, nor did it appeal to the friend whom I saw it with. As I said before, I've met others who have shared my opinion of the film. I know others feel the way you do. What's the big deal? Are you secretly Stanley Kubrick? It's a movie that you & I have different opinions on. Seriously, get over it already.

You did not in any way say why you thought it was stupid. You just stated it was. I take no issue with people not liking a piece of art but to just call it stupid without being able to articulate why is a dangerous thing for society. Sorry, but the death of intellectualism is something that upsets me and causes me to be passionate. I wouldn't care otherwise but since you're a teacher it annoys me and frightens me at the same time.

Fine. Since you will not be satisfied until you get your way, I felt the whole movie was piss poorly written and that scene truly made no sense. He starts to cry because he was caught? The whole story was over his ridiculous obsession with his wife's fantasy. She did not cheat on him, but he spend the bulk of the film not only obsessing over this, but also plotting some level of revenge that totally backfires on him. Had he been a real man he would have talked with his wife about his feelings and maybe they could have come to a happy medium. They didn't until after he does all the stupid shit he did.

A poorly written movie might be seen as art to some like yourself and that's fine. I said I didn't like it. You demanded to know why. Honestly, it didn't appeal to me. I've seen more intellectually written films that cost way less and told a better story. Good writing can always shine though. I don't feel this was Stanley Kubrick's best piece of cinematography compared to his others.

So get over it. Really sir, it's just a movie that we disagree on. You've put way too much energy in why you liked it and why I did not. Instead of accepting my dislike of the film, you have felt the need to belittle and insult me about it. I'm happy you like the movie. That's your opinion. You won't change my opinion about it, anymore than I will change yours.

Now, go enjoy your film.

It's nice that we have a discussion on a movie here, but wish it were not so confrontational. Personally I like the film enough. It's more than merely an erotic movie for me. I don't want to elaborate here on why that is so, unless prompted. So to an extent, I am with Felix on his liking of the movie, but am a little sad with the confrontational tone he took. Yes, Nymphwriter, it is a question of taste. At the same time movies generate different levels of perception in people. Some people don't necessarily make a wholesome reading of a film. But that doesn't make them 'less intellectual' necessarily. A film needs to justify itself. At the same time, a viewer needs to justify himself/herself and not be a completely passive receiver.

Thanks for sharing your views.

Seems silly.

What if the guy was called Billy? Would you still pass up on the opportunity to say such enchanting flowers as 'Oh yes Silly Billy... do me Silly Billy' during sex?
