Maybe I'm just biased, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that a man can write a good lesbian story, much like they can't seem to film a good lesbian video. Beginning to wonder if I'm wrong though considering the fact my lovely friend SexyBexy recommended a lesbian story written by a man.

What do all of you think?
Well... I've no real thoughts either way - although men and women get turned on by different things, so it's possible a guy could write or film a good lebian erotica - for other men to read and watch... But it might not be as stimulating to women as we are turned on by different things... Also, it depends on personal preference and writing style and lots of other things.

Some people just can't write good porn... And clerly some men can write good lesbian porn, it's possible they're just rare. As I don't read much lesbian stuff though - I wouldn't really know.
When writing it really isn't about the gender.
It all depends on the author themselves. Sometimes men are feminized, and women have lots of masculinity.
Because of this, people write in different ways. Some people play off of the emotions of the character, and some just go with the raw sexual acts.
It depends on the reader, which they prefer, and how the author prefers to look at sex.
I think it depends of the imagination of the writer
