Pearly Papules and Fordyce Spots

Pearly papules and fordyce spots are two conditions that can affect a man's penis, and are generally caused by over-productive sebaceous glands. Doctors consider them normal and only an aesthetic concern, and treatment is usually unwarranted. No treatment exists as of yet anyway, aside from professional procedures (eg. laser, abrasion, etc), which aren't always successful.

About 30% males have pearly papules and almost 90% of them have fordyce spots to some degree.

As most men do, I have some fordyce spots myself (especially at the base of my penis), and although they never were a major concern for me and no women ever complained about them, I wonder at times if women notice them or find them unsightly. It's in fact pretty rare to witness those in porn movies.

As I searched for information about these conditions, some doctors/experts also mentioned that they actually can add to the pleasure of women. Now I find this quite a bit far-fetched, especially in the case of fordyce spots which are just tiny bumps at the base of the dick.

So my questions...

Did most men you encountered have some of these?

Do you find these conditions unsightly?

Do they actually make a difference in terms of sensations?

Thanks!
I never even considered it to be a 'condition' but my husband has Fordyce spots. If 90% of males have them then isn't that just natural?

Also - I'm not sure what type of porn you're referring to. I watch a lot of homegrown or non-mass-production (ie: indy films). There's no perfect penis show there.

The pearl thing could bother me, though.
Women can also have these skin issues. Would it bother you if your gf sported them?
The papules certainly would - but not the fordyce thing. I likely wouldn't notice that. I've had skin tags and took care of them quickly. They were natural, harmless, but still gross given the location.

I met many girls who had fordyce spots on their outer labia, in fact. It never bothered me, yet if I could choose I'd go without.

I watch all sorts of porn, yet the ones who show dicks close-ups are generally from professional studios. The actors in these rarely have fordyce spots, and I've never witnessed a single one of them with pearly papules.

Definitely they are natural, yet if they're rarely shown in porn women might consider them to be unsightly. Similar to acne being natural, yet you won't see many actors with acne in movies; it kinda renders the 'condition' unattractive.

And yet when I'm with someone, it is because they are more then simply the sum of their parts. So thus, if my partner had a skin condition, I'm fairly certain I'd handle it.
That is why these people are "hired" as actors ~ they are "chosen" for their certain types of roles and for certain aesthetics and qualities from what is wanted and deemed. (I can't say as certain moles on this non-porn actor who is cute but covered in them is not a bit unsightly to me, either).

I am sure most people would be self-conscious about things.
I am sure we all have something or things - whether related to privates or not - that we do not like about ourselves and some can be helped and some not. Some things doctors don't warrent the risk just because it is a cosmetic issue.

But I do not really notice these things, and if I do- or have, I must not have been bothered. I really did not realise until you posted this.

Maybe it's just because I don't pay that much attention - Ijust can't imagine women paying that much attention, either.

I didn't know guys paid that much attention to little details and junk until I was stupid and actually shared a few x rated closeups of me playing forever ago - never did that again because he said "I'm sitting here looking things over - all the detail is great - I really like your blah-blah-blah..."

WTF? He was supposed to just be like 'oh - hot stuff - thanks for the jackoff material'. Up til that point I didn't realize how analytical some guys were. They really do look over all the detail as if it's a fascinating work of art.

Hurk - I really regretted things after that. I do not give a damn about details when I watch porn. I just need the general overview I suppose.
I learned something new today. I've never seen pearly papules before. If I saw that on a dick, to be honest - I would probably be taken aback or wonder if it was an STD etc. It's not the most attractive thing obviously, but as long as I knew what it was, it's not a deal breaker. I've been with a guy with hypospadias before, (two holes streaming cum during a blowjob did require some minor adjustments on my part), but things like that and other little cosmetic blips like spots and veining isn't an issue as long as the guy is healthy.

I have never seen them either and I too would be a little nervous. But now I know!

Question: Are these pics magnified or is this the actual size of the Pearly Papules?

I think these conditions being potentially mistaken for STI/STDs is the main concern with them (for both men and women). As I said, I never was all that worried about my fordyce spots, but as I searched for information about them some guys were anxious women might be concerned about them, thinking they might be STD/STIs or a result of bad hygiene. The concern is even higher with pearly papules I guess, which are rarer and quite a bit more apparent.

The ones I showed previously aren't 'magnified', though the picture is pretty much a close-up. Pearly papules aren't always that apparent though, sometimes they're just tiny bumps around the crown of the glans:

I actually learned about them myself as I searched about fordyce spots. I was quite surprised when I learned that they were that frequent in men (20-30%); as I said I never witnessed them anywhere else (eg. porn, medical pictures, etc.), and even sexually active women here do not seem to be aware of them. Maybe guys who have them are quite ashamed of them, and avoid sex because of it. That would be kinda sad, especially since nothing can really be done to avoid/eliminate them, and they're only an aesthetic issue anyway.
Ive seen pearly papules on women.
Holy shitbags, Batman! If I saw the 'pearly papules' the first thing that would come to my mind is papillomavirus/warts LOL I'd never heard of 'pearly papules' before. It almost looks iike the beaded Christmas ornaments my grandma used to make!
