I think age matter to a certain point but if your 18 or 19 or younger and like older men it's ok

For a relationship, with male or female, I prefer someone around my own age, that way we have cultural and enviromental upbringing in common. Try talking music with someone 20 years older, or even just 18. Or favourite childhood tv shows or films.
For just plain simple sex, age is not an issue.

I think it depends on the relationship and what you want out of it. My thoughts have changed many times over the years and largely depend on how I feel about myself and my age at any given time. So, yes I feel age is just a number. One that can be manipulated easily on Lush.

Age is a state of mind, but at some point it bumps against reality!

Age may be just a number but some numbers are sexier than others.

This is pretty much what I was going to say. Age is more than a number, it's how you feel, how you act, how you think. You can think like a twenty year old and be eighty, but the wrinkles will probably still keep you from getting dates with young men. I think it's easier for men to age. Look how well Hugh Hefner is doing. Can you name an 87 year old woman who's recently married s 26 year old?

That's not fair. She's a year younger than me. I might be too old for Hugh Hefner.

it is a number as far as state of mind like many others said. but physically it can hinder you. but if you can pull off younger look and get younger men/women....knock yourself silly and do it.

Age is just a number, but I am biased,

I've always been attracted to older, sexy, charming, guys.

Age isn't just a number. Age means how long they've been on Earth and some people don't act there age, but it still, roughly, reveals a little something about who they are. I prefer older guys or guys my age, but not too old. I have limits I guess..

It all comes down to personal preference! As long as both parties are of legal age, it is just a number.
Personally I wouldn't fuck a guy any younger than myself, but I have no age limit on older guys. 30, 60, 80!!!!! Love all older guys!

No... because I prefer older guys! Call me Catherine Zeta-Jones... just not as pretty (or depressed)

I've never dated younger and don't see myself doing it anytime soon ...Older guys that are mature and know how to treat/please a woman has always been my preference

I'm very attracted to older men (generally late 20s to early 50s), but I personally wouldn't be able to date someone older than 35, I don't think. Not unless there was amazing chemistry between us, anyway. As for younger guys...18 (and therefore not jail bait) is definitely the youngest I'd go for, and he'd have to both act and look mature. I wouldn't be interested otherwise.

Other people can date whoever they want, though. As long as the relationship is consensual and both parties are of legal age, I don't think there's a problem. I mean, age so rarely determines one's level of maturity, and to me that's what matters most. I know people who are pushing 40 who still act like they're in high school, so obviously I don't put much weight in the so-called correlation between age and maturity.

I know everything is relative but your definition of an older man which includes someone in their 20's made me smile but please don't be annoyed it's not a sneering smile. smile

Well I have mainly dated older guys, but I don't know if I could put down an actual "limit"? My mom always says girls mature faster than men and from my experience that's true. Steve is a lot older than me but we get along so well I don't even notice it my self. He looks younger than his age because he's in good shape, but I know he is self-conscious about our age difference sometimes. I'm Asian and petite and I look younger than I am. When we hold hands in public I know we get looks sometimes. At first I noticed it a lot, but now I don't notice anymore. I do, however, try to "dress older" depending on where we are going. I know Steve's friends joke with him about "robbing the cradle" and stuff like that. He blushes sometimes, but I think inside he's proud to have a younger girl friend. My mom says a younger woman keeps a man young. She thinks an age difference is good, but just not too much. How much is too much? IDK hehe. Sorry I have blabbered on and not really added anything to this thread. Like Babydollslave said when you have a conversation it's usually way more interesting to talk to someone with more experience, who's traveled, who's done stuff. Anyways.....shit....I just better stop.

Age is just a number. As long as both parties involved are getting what they want out of the relationship and are happy about it, the age difference should not matter. It's all about what feels right to you.

I agree.

Haha, no worries. I'm 21 so I still consider guys who are 28+ years old to be "older men".

When I was younger I always went for same age to 10 yrs older (from when I was 20 to 35, before marriage). But now divorced and a lot older I usually go for from 15 years younger to a few years older. It of course depends on the woman. There was one recently 47 that I felt like I could fall for. And did let my emotions fall hard. But that was pushing it a little too far.

The older I get, the less meaning the number has.

I don't think age matters depends on how they present them selves

only observe the ultimate age divide.... breathing and not... anything else legal is negotiable

why would you let age get in the way of a meaningful relationship?

As long as it's legal. I mean, for most states in the US I've found it tends to be 16 and up.

"is age really nothing but a number?"

depends on the actual age. for me 30 is no better/worse than 40 or 50.

but 18 is a million miles away.

If it is consensual I don't see a problem with age gap. That being said it does look odd if an 18 year man is dating a 55 year old woman or vice versa lol
