If a guy says it he's probably just bitter, but when a woman calls another woman a slut it really pisses me off. We should hold one another up, not keep us all down

I belong to Him and am entirely faithful to His wishes. I am therefore a slut for Him, and it is completely OK that I am, but I deplore the use of the word slut as a pejorative term for women in general and its connotations that it's OK for men to have as many partners as he wants (sowing his wild oats etc) but if a woman does the same then she's a slut.

In the derogatory way that it is used in social circumstances, I don't like it at all. Because it's used to degrade women who dress a certain way or enjoy sex.
But used by someone I'm intimately engaged with, when the timing is right, I love it.

If slut is taken as a person who loves getting intimate, i think all of us are sluts at some time of our lives. People should stop using it in an insulting way. We all have sex with someone.

Personally not a fan.. I know many use it in a positive manner and don't mean anything negative at all when using it, but for me it brings negative associations anyway, so I prefer not being called it or similar words.

I think I've only been called a 'slut' in anger once. And I understand why she was so pissed off.

My for-years, several times-off and on ex-girlfriend had seduced me into bed, knowing my, at-the-time current girlfriend was on her way over, unbeknownst to me. Yeah, so the at-the-time current girlfriend walks in on that. In the dramatic scene that followed called me a 'slut', and as well, called the off and on ex-girlfriend a slut, who laughed.

Eventually, I married the for years, off and on ex-girlfriend.
