I think that's the secret to great sex, whether it be with someone of the same sex or opposite - overcoming self-consciousness and asking for what you want. And having a little fun. It doesn't always have to be a deep, emotional connection (although I enjoy that kind as well). A little laughter in the bedroom never hurts - unless you're pointing at a body part at the time.
