How damaging were feminists in the 70's and 80's to women regarding porn. Feminists sided with the political Rightwing and televangelists in suggesting porn was bad for everyone, but especially bad for women to watch porn and even more so, to act in. They told men AND women that, women didn't like to watch porn, didn't get aroused by porn, didn't want to do the things that were in porn, didn't want porn in their homes, that no women would,,, given a choice,,, want to work in porn. Feminist women, told other women that they, the women, didn't want to watch porn. They told other women, that women don't get turned-on by porn. What women would get turned on by porn,,,talk about passing guilt on to women! How could you get turn-on by that! ? But women were turned-on by porn, maybe not the same way as men,,,but also not always the same as other women. Women always were visual creatures just like men. Women have always looked at the 6-pack, or men's shoulders or arms, legs or butt, ya, even the package. Women have been more discrete about it. The internet has allowed women over the last 20 yrs to view porn in the privacy and comfort of their own homes without being judged, especially other feminist women. Feminist were damaging to women in their 20's - 40's throughout that period of the 1970's and 80's with all the guilt they put on other women.

That's why the world, including much of feminism, has largely moved on. Try to catch up.

That was before my time, but it sounds like feminists back then were angry, sexless bitches. I think we've moved on from that perspective. I consider myself a feminist, and while some porn is mindless and numbing, I think most women enjoy the better stuff.
