Hi,

I've seen with many women that their nipples become erect during a kissing scene in a film or t.v. etc. one elderly family friend, seventy five year old, gets very erect nipples after a friendly hug.

Would you ladies consider this as the female equivalent of an erection or is that not so?

Not really. My nipples get erect when it's cold, never heard of a guy getting hard when he gets cold, lol.

I would correlate a woman's clit becoming engorged to a man getting a hard-on.

Yes. Generally hard nipples denote active youth or sex harmones in a female body. Atleast in my case my erect nipples describe the state of my arousal.

Not for me - being cold does it (more than being turned one, actually) . . . during the winter I wear a sweater inside the house for a reason.

Nipples get hard for lots of reasons, usually when you don't want them to. The clit usually gets hard from arousal or stimulation... or tight jeans! So the swollen clit is the equivalent of the male erection. At least our erections don't show through our clothes like guys' hard-ons do! :-)
