I have a theory that most people, regardless of gender, are more sub than dom. I also have a theory that, like most of sexuality, it's a spectrum: most people are a mixture of things, but boil that down to one or two for simplicity's sake. I generally describe myself as a sub, for example, but the truth is closer to 30/70 D/s.
There's also a perception in society that men are more sexually dominant than women, but I've found most people are open to most things once society isn't looking.
So where do you place yourself? Dominant, submissive, or somewhere in between?
Once there was a man with a little too much time on his hands...
With guys, I’m always submissive. I tried to be domme with a couple of other girls but the tables got turned on me both times.
Sometimes I let guys dom me, but usually, I'm more dominant with both guys and girls.
I guess as a man I can still respond to relevant issues on this forum.
Anyway, I'm so old that what I actually do doesn't matter anymore.
When I write about BDSM, the couples involved are usually switches. It seems more interesting that they take turns, and try to top each other (no pun intended) in the role ideas they come up with. Often the women are more imaginative in that then their partners. Even when the woman plays at being submissive, she's sometimes the one who cooked up the scenario and proposes how it will be done. I have a couple of upcoming series that will emphasize that.
I’m definitely the sub. I like a dominate man who knows what he wants and takes it. I shouldn’t have to train you and I don’t want you asking me what to do. That’s a big turn off for me. Even so I have had some very young men who were very dom and take charge and knew exactly what they wanted and how to do it. So that is always a pleasant surprise.
I’d have to say switch. There are times that I like to take control and dominant some
