Honestly,
I look at their profiles and if all they have is pics of their dicks, then I feel they have nothing to offer.
If there is no substance and something interesting besides a pic of their cocks, then I move on.
Kisses!

actually .... this has happened yet again tonight ... so I am gonna vent.
What is the deal with you guys .... the Guest AV ..... NO other personal info or pics on your profile, YET you wanna know what we look like, how tall, breast size, etc etc
When, I do allow a guy to "view" my personal photos .... they think I am RUDE when I ask, "so .... are you going to share your photos?"
These are some of the FOREVER excuse why they (the guys) don't share:
1) .... I work in an industry that would frown if they found me here (like, what? .... your work suspects you are here and they are gonna go looking at lush to find you????)
2) .... I had someone from work find me here, it was so embarrassing (oh, yeah, what about the person that found you??)
3) .... I am married .... so it's not cool to share my pics
4) .... I am a private person
good lord!! you think you are that important to hide in secrecy??
so ... after my last little chat with the red-silouette .... fck it ... no AV, you are lazy ... not want to share (but ask me to share with you) .... block.
ahhhh .... time for a wine.

Ladies of Lush in all seriousness I ask, if a guys sends you a message are you really going to ignore it simply because he does not have a display pic?

Yes. It takes about 30 seconds to pick from one of the many uploaded images that Lush offers as avatar choices or you can upload any personalized image you want in even less time. To just have an impersonal generic avatar just seems... I dunno... lazy. No offence. Most people don't use their real pics as their avatars, so picking an image that represents you on some level will differentiate you in the sea of red/white zombies.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

if i walk into the store and see a 20 red and white generic looking pairs of sneakers and one that is bright pink with glow in the dark shoe laces, you think i'm going to pick thru the 20 identical pair or go straight to the pink ones and try them on?

Speaking for myself (and probably a large part of the female population here). Take a look at the hits on my page. Now, take a look at the hits on YOUR page. Take a moment to wonder "Wow. Her page has been viewed 1,000 times more than mine. I wonder how many friend requests, messages to view guys cocks, to chat, to join in on password protected private chats, questions about sex, requests to cyber, she gets? Oh, and how many of those little black boxes does she get of the same?
THEN ask yourself, how does she deal with all of those? Does she answer them all?
No. If i did, I wouldn't have any time for myself. I am a story mod, i keep up with my friends, i post on the forums, i write, i have a Mistress here, and i have a life off line.
Here is how it works. Is someone catches my eye, someone i don't know, i will write back. A generic message from a generic guy with a generic avatar ain't gonna do it. take the time (5 minutes or less) to find an avatar! what is so hard about that? it doesn't have to be a picture of you - or even sex related. Let it tell me something about you! if you're into music, post a guitar or a musician you really dig. if you're it sports, post your favorite teams logo. if your into bdsm, post a picture of handcuffs.
And then, take another 15 minutes to fill out a bio telling me about yourself. put up wall paper, make it catch my eye, make yourself sound interesting. thing of it as shopping. if i walk into the store and see a 20 red and white generic looking pairs of sneakers and one that is bright pink with glow in the dark shoe laces, you think i'm going to pick thru the 20 identical pair or go straight to the pink ones and try them on? Yeah, i might find one of those 20 that is really comfy, but i'm not going to spend an hour trying them all on.
sell yourself. it's not that hard. a generic avatar screams 'i am not interesting and i don't care enough to make myself interesting'. So why would that appeal to me?
