Men and women both talk about or can reflect back onto a memory of that "night or long weekend...or trip" that was all about great sex. As I mature the "great sex" memories seem to wrap more around how my lover reacted...you could tell it went well that makes it memorable.
Part of that opinion I think comes from the difference between female and male orgasm too...but really ladies I am more asking than opining. For me the physical response...the immediate moment(s) before and during orgasm are like mirror images of each other regardless of the "specialty of the moment or not". Whether you are porning yourself on the computer or just having sex, the physical response is very consistent..."the virgin is standing by next to the volcano...they are threatening to push her in...the rumbling starts down low in the shaft...and then the hot lava makes the mad dash up the tube under great pressure...and...there she blows"!!!
But...ladies...are there different levels of orgasm that your body produces? Is there 6 & 8 or 10 on the orgasmic Richter scale? Or are those "special memories" really special because of all the external environmental and emotional components that fed your "Vesuvius" of orgasms?
What do you think?
This is a really interesting question, mmmm if i orgasm by myself it is always the same; but if i really make love, rather than just having sex the orgasm is more intense because of what i feel for the lover and the feeling i have for him as i orgasm. But as regards to your question; does the orgasm have a scale of intensity my answer would be no i don't know what other women think. To me my orgasms are so fleeting and short prob about 5 seconds not that long really, to me what is more important is if i have enjoyed the whole experiance.
Now my question to you Jason is do men's orgasm' have a scale of intensity, i'm guessing that some men do only becasue i have noticed a difference in the intensity that some have experianced; but i don't know whether that was due to the orgasm or their feeling for me, maybe you could enlighten me.
I agree with HoneyBee. I can't remember hardly any of the times I've orgasmed by myself but can remember nearly all the times I've had sex, because the emotional connection as well as the physical makes it memorable.
However, it doesn't make the orgasm itself any more or less intense. Sometimes its a 10 and sometimes a 4, depends on other things, not just how much it meant to me.
My orgasms definitely vary in intensity. Depending on position and technique, my mood, etc. Sometimes I don't even know why they're better or worse... it's like the stars must be alligned or something...
At times I've rated them at hubby's request and I do have a wide range of them. There's a #1, which is usually just me, and it's about a "Good, now I can get on with my day!" and of course the #5 "Where's the cigarettes? I know I don't smoke, but I need one now." and at the top of the scale, the #11, the "Sweet Holy Jesus, do we need to buy another box spring honey?" or the "Calm down honey, you can't bleed to death from scratches on your back!" The #11 is of course a homage to Spinal Tap.

Interesting question and very interesting answers. My orgasms definately vary in intensity depending on technique, position & mood. But have got better with time, probably by getting to know my own body better. Can even depend on my monthly cycle - very good at the beginning on the month. An amazing experience can be got from oral with a good technique and is probably the best I've ever had!! ... Hope this answers your question Jason ...
Oh yeah! I agree, sometimes time of the month has an effect. Right before my period, is the worst for me. I think my body is saving up energy and cannot be bothered to orgasm.
Of course they vary, depending on mood, or how tired I am.
