"Next" - Michael Crichton looks an interesting read.

"A Thousand Splendid Suns" - Khaled Hosseini

Would be nice to pick up some trashy rock bio as well - the Ronnie Wood biography might fit the bill. That's it, I'm heading out to the book store this morning.

For those needing inspiration, here's Amazon's Top 100 Books for 2007.
I read Michael Crichton a long time ago. He's a good author and knows how to build suspense. I'm thinking of getting one or two good spy books that "Men's Journal" recommended and the titles escape me.
I read a fascinating biography of the Stones many moons ago. The Led Zep one was a great one, too.

Funny you should mention that, in the Ronnie Wood bio I skimmed, there was a line in there where he was talking about introducing Peter Grant, the then Manager of Led Zepplin to Bob Dylan. Peter Grant introduced himself and said to Bob; "Hi, I'm Peter Grant, Manager of Led Zepplin", to which Dylan shot back; "hey, I don't come to you with all my problems"
Heh heh heh. Did you ever read the one about the Doors,"No One Here Gets Out Alive?" Loved reading that one.
Not read the Doors one, will look out for it. I have a best of collection somewhere, reserved for road trips...

Dylan on Dylan. Perfect Not really a huge fan of his music other than his early work, but it's sure to be a very entertaining read I'd say.
Plow, that reminds me of a good sci-fi book I read as a teen. It had a similar, post-apocalyptic theme to it, but the twist was, the farther down the road you went, the more into the future you went. You could turn around and go back down the road and go into the past. I wish I could remember the name of it.
And if you like a good futuristic thriller, I would suggest my favorite: "The Diamond Age", by Neal Stephenson. It won the Hugo.
I like anything by Ann Rule or any True crime stories.8UnLeZKim1ZnYIBK ....I am currently reading Too Late To Say Goodbye by Ann Rule.....funny though the best best book I remember reading is The Client....I was so disappointed in the movie!...Mary Higgins Clark is also a favorite of mine, as well as her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark. I love to read , so I might have to pick up a couple of your picks.
fystee, I love a good pulp fiction crime drama, too. I found this publisher, and have already read a bunch of their books. See if you like it:

"The Literary Insomniac: Stories and Essays for Sleepless Nights"
Read a few Chapters of "Dylan on Dylan" - v entertaining, although the book is basically a collection of his interviews over the years. Still, I've not read them before.

On my "New Year Sales" list is a 32" Sony Bravia D series LCD TV - I've not bought a new TV in about 10 years, and mine is starting to fail on me. Not that I watch much tv at all, it's just when I do, I'd like it to be on something of a decent quality.

Did anyone get any great presents?
Presents? Yeah... I got a set of Rune's and a Japanese Tea set. Anytime you guys are in the neighborhood, stop on by and we'll toss runes and drink tea.VNU6d80QDfrhzyPE

My reading list is quite long, mostly technical books for now as I'm training in 'Vibration analysis'. That's INDUSTRIAL vibration analysis, not personal.B3riJ7lwzEu1GH7O

A set of runes and Japanese tea set? Sounds very new age of you C2c! A trick with green tea - don't ever boil the water - add it just before boiling. don't allow the tea to steep longer than around 30 seconds - it goes bitter very quickly, so don't let the leaves soak. The Japanese empty the small pot totally rather than let water sit on the leaves.

See, I learnt something about Japanese tea ceremonies during my last trip over there
Tune in next week and watch Lush demonstrate a Body Shot.
