Tell us about your personal erotica writing style. When you stand back and look at your body of writing, you'll probably notice some trends and a certain kind of style to your writing. If someone was to say "I'm thinking of reading {insert your name}'s stories. What are they like?", what would be an accurate way to describe your writing?
Here are some random Qs just to get you thinking...
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Great question. It is always good as an author to evaluate yourself and identify your strengths and weaknesses.
I write outside of Lush as well but I will answer this purely in regard to my erotic fiction.
I write about character making a connection. The important part of the story is what that connection is and how it is made. The sex is just part of the process. In my stories I try to make sex the physical expression of something deeper, be it love, lust, the will to dominate, thrill seeking, whatever. Finding that underlying motivation is what (I hope) keeps my stories interesting and different.
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
You could call the idea about connection I mentioned above a recurring theme. I have written a couple with an exhibitionism element because that is something that excites me. I keep my options open on re-using characters, but they have to have another story to tell. Simply having more sex is not another story.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
I like to think I'm aiming for and hitting somewhere in the middle. I want my stories to be stories, not just descriptions of sex, so I tend to have reasonable lead ups (in most cases).
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
It depends on the character. I try to find each character's distinct voice. If they are quirky and satirical then the writing should come out that way.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
Again, this depends on the story and the characters. I like to think I put in the minimum appropriate detail on a case by case basis. I try to avoid describing the obvious in favour of the unique and relevant.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
Romance? Sometimes. Intimacy? Always. Even my quickie encounters and darker reluctance tales hint at a deeper connection that you would call intimate. Maybe I just don't believe in sex without intimacy.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Not at all! I take bits of my own experience and use them to build details, but never whole stories.
I honestly don't think my stories are erotic - they're sexually charged but not what I would call erotic.
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
I've only written four so far and, to me, each one is very different. Three of the four stories have involved affairs so I guess that's a recurring theme.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
There has to be a story for me to want to write it. Circle of Friends is probably the most complex thing I've written but that's also the closest I've written to stroke fiction.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
Definitely - may not be apparent to everyone though
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
I don't draw out out sex scenes but try to give the reader enough so they don't have to stretch their imagination too far
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
My stories are character driven so there always needs to be a blend of the physical, the emotional and the psychological.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Well there was that time I was fucked by a Incan Goddess whilst tripping out on spider venom and morphine...

Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
Yes, as far as characters...me...all but four of my stories are in first person. As far as recurring themes, I'd say no...I also have stories in more categories than anyone else on Lush at the moment.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
All my stories are "high end complex literary tales"...just ask me, I'll tell you...is that even a question?
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
Do you really think a serious literary type like myself would ever put humor or satire in a story? LOL...obviously if you have to ask you haven't read any. Actually, my writing went through phases...my earliest stuff was either just sex stories or humor pieces about sex with no actual sex. Starting with story no. 22 "Mistaken Identity" I started combining humor and sex, a theme that continued and culminated in story 37 "The Queen"...my writing style changed again starting with story 41 "The Review" which was a response to another author's observation that "I never express feelings in my writing and probably not in my speech"...so, I thought "I'll show her"...lol...that story got analyzed to death when it came out...I think the comments were longer than the story, but it changed my writing style, my subsequent stories started to get more feeling oriented and romantic, especially starting with no 42 "Young Lust, First Lust. Sweet Devotion" which is the only story I consider "personal" btw...
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
I don't think I'm particularly detailed in my sex scenes, so I guess it's the latter...
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
Romance is good, intimacy is a must...this is a sex story site after all...
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
That would be a "no"...though past experiences do tend to creep into my writing...don't know what I'd do without them...
I have only written two stories so far (It's Only Dinner 1 and 2) so we will wait and see if I end up settling in a niche. I am fairly certain that and lesbian love will make there way into most of my stories.
I have settled on the fact that I do not want to describe the characters in detail. The reason for this is I want the readers to place themselves or real life people they desire into these roles. If I said Jack was a 54 year old man with greying hair and you are 35 with dark black hair then you may fail to experience the characters euphoria.
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
Yes, my wife and I (so far!)
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
I like to think of it as a bit more than that, you see I aspire to...oh who are we kiddin'? Its stroke fiction.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
Not really, but the end of "Blindfold" does have a light happy tone to it.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
Im a detail man
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
I think both of mine are very romantic and intimate
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Yes. Both my stories on here are true, from action to dialogue
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories? I have a lot of series based stories, so a lot of characters and ideas are used over and over. I do have a few that are no series though and those sometimes pull away from what most of my writing is about. I try to switch it up every now and again. It gets boring writing one theme over and over again, sometimes a different story is all it takes to set you back on track.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales? Well I would love to write high end and complex literary tales. I think that in some ways I get closer to that then in other ways. So right now I would say that I am somewhere in the middle of that spectrum. I feel I give just enough to make it a stroke story but I also tend to give it a little more that pushes it closer to high end and complex.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire? I am not really sure. I mean it is possible that bit of those things are thrown into my stories but they are never in large portions.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes? I feel that I try to give as much information as I can but still leave a little bit of room for the imagination to play. I want people to really see what it is that is in my head as to what is happening. The more detail I can give, the better chance I have of getting them to that point. I don't give so much detail though that you get bored of the story before it even really begins.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy? I love stories with romance and intimacy. I feel that I try to put a good amount of that into my stories. Though at times, you really just want something down and dirty, no romance, not feelings for each other, just good honest fucking.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past? I have wrote one story that was a true life tale and it was only the first part, I couldn't even finish the second half. I think when I am writing about real life things, I cant seem to finish. Not that my real life stories are not fun and exciting, its just harder for me to write about them. Maybe because I don't own the characters, and I can't imagine what they are thinking or feeling and I can't always relay all details that need to be given. So I try now to shy away from writing about real life events.

===Yes. Massive dirty details, nasty, filthy, depraved, etc.
Prefer romance and intimacy?
===Not so much.
Tales from your sexual past?
===Typically not.
I'm the kind of writer who writes for his own entertainment. In erotic stories, I write to arouse myself. I try to find new ways, new characters, new situations to maximize my own lust. I love it when my readers tell me that they got so hot reading my stories that they pleasured themselves.
I enjoy or forbidden sexual situations. I want my characters to be conflicted, to have to deal with their morals and finally surrender to temptation. My characters (like Ima Hoarre) may be sluts, but I want to show how they became that way.
You've been a bad girl! Now take your pajamas off and go to my room!
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
Most of my stories have the recurring theme of the “good girl gone bad” due to some circumstance that overwhelms her inhibitions and causes her to indulge her inner slut. I like the transformation of a woman being liberated from the social pressures and expectations of what a ‘good girl’ is supposed to be and giving into her darkest fantasies. I think a lot of women are afraid of their sexuality and where they would ultimately let themselves go if they removed their self-imposed boundaries and limitations, and I like to play with that theme.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
I’m somewhere in between. I write to entertain the mind as well to drain the balls and soak the panties.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
I’ve added some humour to my Sex Rehab series to break up the intensity that frames the sex scenes, but it’s not my usual style otherwise.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
I write relentlessly explicit, no holds barred very dirty sex scenes. I’m not afraid to get into the details or draw the scene out or write about ‘ ’ sex practices. I love to turn the reader on by pulling them out of their comfort zone sometimes.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
My stories tend to be more about raw intimacy and connections or just dirty hardcore sex. The scenes are not traditionally “romantic” but if I’m writing about a male and female coupled pairing, there is always an element of a lustful connection between them. The dirty talk isn’t just a random throwaway plot device. I like the couple to be connecting with each other on a primal yet intimate level, both physically and verbally.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
There’s an element of reality with many of the stories I write, whether it’s the ‘characters’, the style of sex scene, the location, or the connections. I’m always drawing from real life, and blending it with a fantasy element.
I'll start by mentioning that I am not as dedicated as some of the better authors here on lush. I wrote my first story because I had just moved to a new city and had no TV, none of my nice clothes yet for going out, no books... Nothing except my laptop that was picking up some weak wifi signal. The signal wasn't strong enough for video so reading stories was one of the only fun things I could do. I had been reading erotica for years before that but never signed up until then. My first one was pretty awful but the feedback, votes and views were addicting. My first one managed to get several hundred votes on the original site it was published on. Instant addiction.
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
>Yes I do. I think recurring characters makes writing so fun. Every story is an opportunity to explore your characters personality. I also think it's great as a reader to see main characters from other stories make cameos in new ones. Both of the series I wrote take place in the same universe. Even if people won't notice it, it's still fun to write in this way. My stories are not too long though and I do notice that people will read several of them at a time.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
> I think my stories are considered 'wham bam thank you mam' stories. They are dialogue heavy so I think I do flesh out my characters somewhat but they are still stroke word porn.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
>Yes, there is humor in all but one of mine. I like to make them as fun and entertaining to read as I can. I don't think anyone can read one of mine without laughing, smiling, shaking their head or rolling their eyes at least once. ;)
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex
scenes?
>There's no romance just ridiculous dialogue and situations. I don't feel I include very detailed sex descriptions. To tell you the truth, that is the least fun aspect of writing to me. I love thinking of what the characters say and what leads up to the sex.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
>No. I feel like I don't like sharing that side of me publicly. Romantic Jack is just for the ladies.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
>All of my characters are based on people I know. I take the most extreme aspects of their personalities and make them even more extreme. Maybe a couple of the sex scenes I've written happened but not exactly in the same way. I like to have some reality to my writing but I feel it is whimsical more often than not.
If I had to chose one word to describe my writing it would be fun.
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories? hmmm Eric and Fugs. I think I will be writing about them until Fug's skin matches her wrinkled paper bag
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales? High end and Complex literary tales If you have read mine, you wouldn't even have to ask!
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire? My style is more romantic, loving, caring and erotic.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes? Relish
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy? Tried but the paper bag ruined the romance
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past? Embarrassed to say but yes
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
--Yes, I use the same two characters all the time. I'm incredibly fixated on the male character and he is based on a real person. I'm trying to write about other characters, but it's very difficult. My fixation gets in the way and I don't mind one bit.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
-- I love writing fiction. I'm a simple person. I like to keep it simple.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
--I like humor in sex, so I try to keep that element in.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
--I try to keep a middle ground on that one.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
--I prefer raw sex, but the love is still there.

Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
All of my prose stories are written around a strong, intelligent, independent and sexually aware woman. She has a spiritual nature which she is, at times, unaware of. She is a goddess and a force of nature; sometimes subtle and elusive, sometimes bold and aggressive. But she is always the dominant creature. The men around her might think they have the upper hand at times but ultimately it is she who is in control. In my poems I return to and try to explore the concept of woman as goddess. She is the source of all poetry, of all love, of all emotion; she is the mirror in which all of nature is reflected. The English poet Robert Graves called the Goddess in every woman the only true source of poetic inspiration – I believe that.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
I am fated or doomed; I don’t know which yet, to attempt to create literature. However if anyone finds my work stroke-worthy, I say, ‘Thanks !’
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
Yes, I’m endowed with what I think is quite a good, if dry, sense of humour. I will always put a little humour and social satire into my stories. My poems have at times been quirky and satirical, but that was long ago.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
I am not one for leaving anything to the imagination. I’m here to overwhelm you with the sheer force of the sexual act, to drive you insane with lust and to leave you hot and bothered and wanting more. In my ‘Loretta’ series I made a concerted effort to raise the sexual thermostat with each story – leading to a climax in the plot and a hint that there might be more to follow. A few readers picked up on this judging by their comments and I’m pleased they did.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
Yes, my later poems in particular are all set as intimate, romantic pieces. Romance need not be fulfilled as desire is often not, but emotions; be they as fleeting as the breeze, are none the less real and worth expressing. The desire we feel for someone may never be revealed to them but if one writes it down, one gives it a concrete form and a life it otherwise would not have had.
I am at the moment, planning a ‘romance’ story, where love is the true end in sight, but don’t expect a clichéd Dame Barbara either.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Quote by Dancing_Doll Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
The only recurring theme seems to be that my characters REALLY like DOING THE DEED. Otherwise, my stories range from really dark to light and funny, depending on which way the characters take me.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
I don't know about high end or complex literary tales, but I do try to write something a little deeper than stroke fiction. I want it to be hot and sexy, but I also want it to resonate with the reader on other levels. Whether because they can relate to the character's frustrations with life in general, or because the character has a sense of humor that jives with the reader's, whatever...I want it to be more than sex, even if the character's relationship with the other character(s) is just sex.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
Oh, good heavens, yes. My characters are snarky little twits.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
Depends on the scene, the story, the characters, etc. I have some "fade to black/shut the door" scenes, and I have some kinky BDSM threesomes that last two or three chapters. Just depends on the situation...but I have no qualms about getting down and dirty in the details.
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
I do, but it's not mandatory. My first published book was straight up erotica, no romance. It just depends on how love and romance fit into the character's journey. Since I mostly write romance novels, yes, romance and intimacy usually come into play.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Some of my past has come into play, but I won't be specific about what/when/etc. A great many of the things in my books are things I've never done, would never do, etc. (such as gay male stuff...seeing as I'm not a male, it would be rather difficult for me to get a blowjob, you know?).
Weighing these two arguments, I ny asian escort prefer to the latter one. In my eyes, ny asian escorts though “the moonlight clan” may acquire temporary satisfaction from their consumption, in ny escorts the long term, it is unfavorable to their family and career. Just as a proverb says, one should ny escort always prepare for a rainy day.
Do you tend to have recurring themes (or characters) in all your erotic stories?
I like to muck about with taboos and issues pertaining to the power exchange, but I don't write at the heart of kink, because that's where I live and I prefer to keep that piece closer to my chest.
Do you prefer writing stroke fiction or do you aspire to creating high end and complex literary tales?
In the past, I've always been pretty directed to let the sex drive to a large degree. But, since I write My Emerald Universe, my first love story, I've really been scratching my head. I loved writing that piece, and now I can really only imagine writing more about my partner and that which we share. It's utterly foreign, this desire. But, I will likely explore it. I don't know if the writing will ever see the light of day, but I'm definitely still writing.
Does your style involve the use of humour, quirkiness, or tongue-in-cheek satire?
In another part of my life, I write comic monologues, truth is funnier than fiction stuff, which I perform. I'm not a quick wit, I just seem to have a magnet to truly ridiculous situations, and I'm a pretty good recounter thereof. So, no, sadly, satire is not my strong suit. I so admire it, though. Folks like Gypsy and DirtyMartini blow me away.
Do you relish the dirty details or do you prefer to leave more to the imagination during sex scenes?
Details, details, the devil IS the details. :>
Do you prefer writing stories with romance and intimacy?
I prefer writing sexy stories wherein the characters make a deep connection. That connection is the center of all of my stories, I think.
Do you mainly write true-life tales from your sexual past?
Much of what I write is informed by true-life, but not straight out of it. My theme is purely fiction. That for me is interesting because of the deep connection thing I mentioned, not because of the prurient value, but because of the magnitude of love that is possible in my mind, anyway, in that sort of purely consensual scenario.
