This is Spinal Bat

Thank you OceanRunner, a bit off beat but I'm not averse to that at all smile I looked up Spinal Bat ... not what I expected. Those guys would keep any vampire at bay. That said, I'm sorely tempted lol.

All of my stories are true, so when I reflect on the sex as I write, I think of the theme of the sex and what stood out the most for me. I tend to like low key titles that don't give much indication about the story plot (other than the obvious sex that occurs).

I think Liz made a great suggestion. I mean, she should... she gets paid a lot of money to come up with ideas.

Thank you TrinityX, that sounds like a sensible approach and yes, Liz's idea is total genius smile

Wow, thank you all so much for your fantastic replies! I just got off shift and came home to this deluge of ideas smile Keep those coming, I'll have to think of a suitable prize for the winner silly

I must admit though ... Spinal Bat ... I'm just so drawn to that lol.

I'm thinking more and more that the best titles are those that just jump out at you. My working title is 'Doc1' so thanks to Microsoft Word for its creative input (not!).

Doc1 feels like it would be a great title under other circumstances! Like a story about an author who just can't come up with a title... hmm. Mind if I steal it?!

That sounds like a fun story. How about NAME's Final Spinal?

I often get the title from a phrase in the story. My fave title ever was People Who Bought This Item (it's about buying sex toys on Amazon).

Same. I suck at naming mine. Usually, I would rather write the whole damn thing again than choose a title for it.

You've been given some good idea's here. I liked Liz's best so far. I got nothing I'm afraid Good luck with your story.

I could claim copyright on 'Doc1' but I think there could be a sequel ... 'Doc2'?

Hi V

A ton of ideas! The story is going well, it' just the flipping title that's the hard part. Who knew?

I feel your pain. A couple of times I've just let someone else read it and name it for me because I had nothing.

I mean, really. Even Excel does it better with the unforgettable 'Book1'. Inspired stuff!

I want to be in one of your stories...

I generally just word play with my theme. What's the major emotional issue or philosophy behind the storyline? (Or, at least what I hope it is.) I just try and keep it simple. I wish I could help. I'm pretty boring.

I like word play a lot, although I think my first idea 'Sciatica Sucks' needs a bit of development lol.

Honestly, I pick titles for stories because I think they sound cool. That's it.

Being dyslexic, at first I thought this thread was called 'Story Titties - How do YOU do it?' And I had no idea how to respond.

There are always titties in my stories.

Thank you all so much for your help and inspiration, I'm stunned (quite literally) by your fantastic responses, especially Liz (ingenious), Oceanrunner (goofy), and VirgoGo whose answer really got deep into the mechanics of the thing.

I'm some way further along with the story, 4,500 words now. I never knew I had so many words in me until I tried! Hope I can get it up on Lush soon and justify your efforts

Well, at least that explains that recurring character "Joe Blob" that you seem to like so much.

I didn't do nuffin.

She deleted her own account with a rather rude remark about the members of Lush.

lol - is that what you got from it? here i thought our suggestions were heartfelt. i know mine were and Lizzy's looked to be genuine. perhaps it would be best if we just didn't post in the forums in the future?

doesn't sound to me like they thought they were having the piss take out of them.
