I have an idea for a story in my head but before I write it on my computer, I want to find out how to upload it. Can anyone advise me?
I would not be able to tell you how to upload a story from your computer without knowing a lot more about the computer type you have and lots of other things.
I could tell you that you can simply write your story here on the site in the submission panel. That is what I do. I have never written anywhere except right here on site in the submission panel.
Just a suggestion.
First, I would advise you to write your story in a word file rather than on this site.
Second, read it out loud to yourself and make sure it makes sense to you as written.
Third, correct any errors, check for spelling and grammar errors or mistakes; correct them.
Fourth, let it sit for two days then re-read it again out loud to yourself, making any corrections you deem necessary. Let it sit again for several hours then re-read it once again out loud to you.
Fifth, if it is suitable and you’re satisfied, then go to the login-in page look to your left and find a block marked “Submit Story”, click on this link then follow the instructions.

I'm adding a sixth but it really should be before going to the 'Fifth' -
Sixth, ask Literot to edit it for you!
I write in Mail-Compose, save as a draft. Revisit it several times to correct spelling and punctuation. Revisit it more times to read it carefully-you will always find more errors to correct.
Once I am satisfied, usually after about a week and multiple visits, I copy the text, then paste on Lush Stories in the Submit Story part. I then save it as draft, after adding header picture, and revisit it again after it is in the final format ready for editing by the moderator. Even at this stage, I still find minor errors, and a final reading out loud before hitting the "publish story" button usually leads to more changes or corrections.
I strongly recommend reading as many of the Writing Tips in the forum as possible, they are so helpful, and will save a lot of correcting for you and for the moderators. I have learned things about writing and especially about punctuation with dialogue that we never even covered in school.
Another pair of self-editing tips:
After you've let it sit and simmer for a couple of days, read it in a completely different font size/face from what you wrote it in. I go from Times New Roman 14 pt. to Tahoma 16 pt. The change in position of the words on the screen can make errors jump out at you.
Grab a text-to-speech program, and let it read the story aloud. Even the free versions do a reasonable job with this. Errors that your eyes will skim over will jump out at you when the voice says them. It's easy to have a typo such as "He" instead of "Her" that you won't see, but you'll absolutely hear it when read back.
The off pronunciation of some words ( they all seem to choke on "pussy" and "wind" LOL ) helps me stay focused, and not get caught up in the story.
