This, is my FIRST EVER posted story:

I had been hanging around and reading for AGES before I decided to write something... What amazed me at the time, (it still does...) was the LITERARY quality of a lot of the writing here. OF COURSE I was interested in the 'sexiness' (?) of the stories, BUT, I was also hugely impressed by how well they were written. (I NEVER thought I could be BETTER than the stuff I was reading, BUT, I thought I might possibly be AS GOOD!) Sometimes, I was! (NOT ALWAYS!)

I HONESTLY cannot remember where the inspiration for LMLD came from... I do remember the INTOXICATING PLEASURE of how it was received! Indeed, I wrote several more stories in the same series... (The series, like MOST of mine, remains unfinished! FOR SHAME.) But, I LOVED and still do, the interaction with readers and other writers that is commonplace on Lush Stories. (I don't think that happens on other similar sites...) Of course, in time, I made friends here and even worked here for a bit.

NOWADAYS I'm just this curmudgeonly old fart who hangs around here and bores the arse off people with sad poems! (I find it MUCH MORE DIFFICULT these days to write prose that engages me, and thus you!) I HATE knowing how the stories END! (Once I know how it ends it bores me...) But I do miss writing prose...

My first thought about this thread was, no way! If people read it, then they form an opinion, and I'm paranoid! Noooooo!

And then I thought, feck it. The only story I'm even vaguely proud of is "Disciplining Frank Leigh". I'd been here long enough to learn what made stereotypical erotica-reading people tick (in my own opinion, obviously), and I took those ideas to write something that may (or may not) be a tongue-in-facial-cheek story. I like comedy and funny stuff, and for anybody who didn't find it funny, chances are, it was them I was writing about.

This story was written as an entry for the "Money Talks" competition last summer. It made the top ten list. Although it had to be shorter than I was used to as there was a limit of 3500 words, I think that I succeeded in telling a good story.
