Chatterbox Blonde- Rumps Mystical Bartender
Now I've posted some material out here and I've never used any artwork on them but I know some others have.
So my question is, as a reader given a choice, does the artwork used tip the balance if you're picking which story to read?
Assuming both stories are the same in category, search tags, and story length of course.
Just looking to see if it's something I should be putting some time into or if it's just a nice to have.
Please share your opinions, even a shoulder shrug can be something to let me know how much of a factor this is for people.
Big hugs, much love.
Michelle.

In all honesty no it is not factor in the stories that I read.
i never use any and i rarely/never pick a story to read based on artwork. in fact, sometimes the artwork will steer me away from a story if it looks kind of cheesy.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Avoid artwork. I have found that all stories featuring a cover photo will be stolen and be reposted elsewhere.
I don't really pick stories based on artwork, though it can help set mood. Only a few of my stories here have cover art, but most of the one on blue site do.

I love you all more then I can possibly say. Such wonderful responses from you all. I'm learning so much about how you all present your work and what you as a reader factor into your decision what to read.

Yes, that's a good point to make sure you have the rights to the artwork you use. I have a paid plan which covers my usage.
Trust people to be themselves...
Not vital for regular stories, but plays a role in attracting readers to Micros in my opinion.
