If I purchased the book, I'll do what I want with it. I don't highlight, but I do underline and scribble notes in the margins (sometimes insightful, sometimes sarcastic). I've been in grad school forever, and I'm worse than Hitler.

Don't believe everything that you read.

I hate it.

Not as much as I hate when people underline sentences or highlight though.....

Never fold the pages! Not under any circumstances. I don’t write on the books, in the books, highlight or anything! Books are friends, I wouldn’t scribble or mark up my friends.

I don't do it and cannot tolerate anyone doing it on my books.
