I'm not even sure how many I've read. I'm on my second one for this week, so it'd be a few!

No worries. Still buying books, they're just piling up worse than ever.

You're my favorite bookworm. You really need to swing by my bookstore sometime.

Do textbooks count?

I should have stated for entertainment / relaxation purposes, unless you relax by reading textbooks?

I have read 4 books this week. Plus all of the others I have read since the start of the new year. I love to read! Now, if I could just find a way to make money doing it. lol

Counting just the ones on my Kindle, 16. I think there may have been a couple more hardbacks as well.

I'm in the big "zero" category myself...I write more than I read...I guess that's not a big surprise to some...

Yes, you are in the right category for your capabilities, the "zero" one, good thing you recognise it.

Of course many of us both read and write. It isn't really complicated, nor is it a matter of multi-tasking, and the rewards are incredible for so many reasons, one of them being that our writing is better for it. Too bad that you prefer to be a "zero".

2 books.

One on how US corporation - Cargill has slowly acquired a stranglehold over the people of the Earth, because they are now the world's largest producer and distributor of food. Nearly everything, they either control outright, or have a piece of it. Gene manipulation of seed, livestock feed, grains & dairy, beef/pork/poultry production. What they've done to Brazil and Argentina is...wow.

Scary shit.

The other about a cat named Paulson and how he managed to make over 10 billion bucks during the recent world wide economic / market collapse. Equally informative as the first book.

Next up, I think I'll tackle extraterrestrial possibilities - should take the rest of this year.

I would estimate about 9 or 10. The problem is my nightstand is still stacked with books I have been meaning to get around to. I am currently working through the short stories of Flannery O'Connor. Too many books, not enough time.

I am an avid reader and find myself buying books all the time, that I can't keep up with. I have piles and piles of books. Not sure why I am falling behind, could it be that I'm distracted reading other material here on Lush?

I've only read two this year. Both were on vacation. Sitting on a beach or by the pool seems to be one of the few times I'm able to relax enough to get some solid reading done. I'm very ambitious though... I have a ton of books that I start and then stop, and then go back on my home library shelf. And anytime I go into a bookstore, I always find something new that I think I'd like to try. The problem is that I have a short attention span... one of the traits I want to work on going forward.

Net surfing, and magazines (and now Lush) are little indulgences that tend to give me my quick fix these days.

I will read anything from tourist books to mysteries..and I am currently reading a manual about tantra and the Yoni massages ummm it is a great book I have learned alot

Over the last few years, I've had to wear glasses and my current pair of blended bi-focals are just not book friendly. Before I needed them, I read voraciously, maybe 20-30 books a year.

Besides, Im now using my extra time to write instead of read.

Well it just so happens I do.

I read at least 2 books a month, sometimes more. When pressed for time I can read a book like "The Reader" the day of my monthly book club discussion and dinner. Granted, I spend the entire day reading it. Setting your own schedule has benefits.
